Is the American divisive, hateful and intolerant culture pushing psychotics over the edge?

Ahh ... so, if we could only get rid of "the right", and all those people whining about freedom, everything would be hunky dory. What do you propose, genocide?
Ending total misinfo propaganda from the rw
Canada has fewer people than some of our states and virtually none of the same anger and division splitting the country aside from over Covid.

The only way you can possibly come up with 200 mass shootings a year in the US is to change the definition to include gang shootings and family violence.
Canada has 38 million. Only Cal. has more (and too damn many!). Yes our brainwashed RW has a lot of hate all based on misinfo.

Mass means multiple people. Canada has a mental health system and taxes their rich. So cheap college health care infrastructure etc. CIVILIZED, not run by the NRA and Big Money like the NEW BS GOP America...

The NRA???
Hilarious.
You realize they filed bankruptcy? They are a shell of what they once were. A shell.
They have no influence in Washington. They don't have enough money to influence Washington.
The tech industry has pumped in $90,000,000 in lobbyist in just the first quarter of this year.
The NRA, in 2020, could only muster up $2,000,000 - in a Presidential year!!
Update your information.

It isn't about getting rid of "the right". It's about eliminating lying morons who base their political views on pure nonsense, they promote those views fanatically, from the political system.

The REAL "right" are political conservatives (i.e. RINOS) who believe that what is good for business is good for America. That's a very valid point of view and belongs in the political dialogue.

However, the "Right" has become dominated by people who promote pure BULLSHIT. If they have any real political agenda, it's so hideous that they refuse to publicly admit what it is.
RINOS are also wrong but at least not totally misinformed and dangerous....keeping the pandemic going and blaming Biden...

Ok the NRA and the gun industry

Ok the NRA and the gun industry
Dude... really?
Again... update your info.
The tech industry, big pharma, agri-business - all give more funds to Washington a DAY than the gun industry gives all year.
The gun industry gives practically nothing compared to other industries, not even in the top 50.
Maybe you are thinking of gun rights groups? The NRA is one of them, but, again, they are broke.
They have given record amounts the last two years, but even still... paltry compared to other groups.

I don't think there's any evidence of that.

Their medication is far more likely the culprit.
Plenty of evidence. Don’t consult NORML. That’s so 1970.
The same va people pushing pot also pushed big tobacco. Pot is risky. Mass murderers are often potheads.

Obviously, the legalization of cannabis is not the only or even the main driver of this new American violence wave - broader criminal justice “reform” and the way Democratic politicians have undercut and discouraged the police are probably even larger factors - but its role is increasingly obvious to anyone who cares to look.

Cannabis causes psychosis, and psychosis causes violence.

Cannabis causes psychosis. Psychosis causes violence.

Yep, there it is, the first reference to cannabis use by Salvador Ramos, the Texas elementary school killer. In the New York Times.
Took 24 hours, give or take.
And Ms. Rodriguez recalled he would often talk about how much he despised his mother and grandmother, whom he told her did not let him smoke weed or do what he wanted.

This is only one case. Except it’s not.
Nikolas Cruz, the Florida high school shooter, was a heavy user and told the police detective who interviewed him that he heard voices. Devin Patrick Kelley - who shot up a Texas church and killed 26 people in 2017 before blowing his head off - had THC in his system when he died. (Kelley had anti-anxiety drugs too; a lot of heavy cannabis users wind up using Xanax or Klonopin to try to tamp down their paranoia.) Darrell Brooks Jr., last seen allegedly racing through the Waukesha Christmas Parade, is a self-described stoner.
Meanwhile, cities like Portland, Oregon have suffered an explosion in violence following the legalization of cannabis. Portland had 16 murders in 2013, the year before voters in Oregon approved full legalization. Last year it had 90. It’s on pace to have even more in 2022. It has gone from being one of the safest medium-sized cities in the United States to one of the most dangerous. Denver has seen a similar trend.

And another thing francoHFW
People have less access to guns now than in the past.
Do you even know that?
Do you even know that more households in America had guns in the house 50 years ago, than they do today. By a large margin.
No. I am sure you don't know that.
We can include conversations about magazine sizes, appropriate age to buy guns etc. - that should be discussed.
But FFS - so should a LOT of other things that you can't find a Democrat willing to even THINK of including in the conversation because they only want to talk about GUNS! GUNS! GUNS!
Dumbass statements like "there are more guns than people in America" - HELLOOO??? That has always been true. Go back as far as you want. That has always been true.
Something else is happening in America. And it is NEW. Gun ownership is not new. Access to guns by teens is not new.
Teenagers mass murdering innocent people... is... NEW.

Yeah. I think it's going to take someone, from within one of the two major.parties, to recognize the value of consensus. But it's going to be an uphill battle. Neither party seems interested in that approach.
You have to stick to GOP bs to believe that. The GOP has been pure obstruction since RAYGUN and the rise of the pure crap RW....Thanks Rush and Rupert...

That is absolute crap, all of it. Yes, checks, red flags, ban on future military sales. There are MANY more guns today and they are outrageous military style, perfect for nutjobs....

3x as many today per capitahttps://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/how-many-guns-are-there-in-america/
