Here is my comment:

The poster is right that the main culprit are those that push the lie, however, not all who tend to 'believe" it are really innocent.
Deep down most know it's a bluff.

WHO INVENTED THE GENOCIDE LIE — AND WHY?
The make-believe “Palestinian genocide” has nothing to do with Palestinians or what is happening to them. Quite the opposite.

It’s a lie. But why?

I don’t invoke Nazis very often. That history is so massive and horrific, its lessons so sacred, that to flippantly throw around accusations of, or comparison with, Naziism is to defile the memory of the victims. Of course, that does not stop those who equate everything they don’t like with Hitler.

That’s bad enough.

Far, far worse, is the Holocaust inversion that has become routine in the world today: the accusation that Jews (Israelis) are perpetrating on non-Jews (Palestinians) something akin to what the Nazis perpetrated on Jews.

To casually toss around Nazi analogies is to defile a people’s history. To go a step further and calculatingly invert that history and project onto the victims the crimes that were perpetrated on their people is a mindboggling depth of sadistic inhumanity.

That it comes mostly from people who sanctimoniously claim the flag of antiracism, humanitarianism, and wokeness heaps the salt of audacity on the wound of atrocity.

However despicable this phenomenon, it succeeds in minimizing Jewish history and experience with genocide. So, when I am moved to make a relevant comparison with that past, the power is diminished, because this history has been negligently thrown around so habitually. Which is precisely the point.

Abuse of Holocaust memory plays multiple roles in the current discourse.

It diminishes the history itself, reducing Jewish experiences with discrimination — which are undeniably among the worst in human history — to mundane misfortune. It implies that Jews overreact about past traumas, which means we can ignore their pleas for contemporary tolerance and warnings about deteriorating social climates. It assumes that Jews exploit their history for political gain — and defiantly asserts that two can play at that game. Further, if Jewish fears are really just an overreaction, there is no justification for Israel as a refuge for imperiled Jews. Moreover, it flattens unique Jewish experiences into an indifferent “all people have suffered” equivalency.

Strategically, it inverts victim and perpetrator, neutralizing sympathy for Jews by asserting that they are no better than Nazis.

Not to be overlooked, this tactic also emotionally terrorizes Jews, which is an undeniable reward for the ostensible human rights defenders who behave in this way. Sadism is a massive and unexplored factor in this “dialogue.”

But there is something far more perilous in this Holocaust inversion.

Some of the people engaged in this defilement of Holocaust history do so with a very specific end goal.

A quick history lesson will illustrate …

Before the Holocaust, Jews made up about 1% of the German population. Despite this infinitesimally small number, Nazi propaganda portrayed Jews as having enormous, sinister power — a “1%” supposedly controlling or corrupting the “99%.” Rather than undermining the propaganda, the numerical differential was itself proof. So much power for such small numbers!

Nazis blamed Jews for everything negative and portrayed them as the embodiment of evil and disaster. They blamed Jews for Germany’s defeat in the First World War, for the Treaty of Versailles, for inflation, unemployment, communism, capitalism, liberalism, modern art, sexual “degeneracy,” and the alleged weakening of German culture.

Jews were useful scapegoats: instead of addressing the root causes of economic collapse, political failure, militarism, or class conflict, Nazis offered one simple enemy.

Naziism took historical antisemitism and supercharged it. Traditionally, whatever was Jewish was considered evil. More than ever before, under the Nazis, that equation inverted. Whatever was evil was cast as distinctively Jewish.

That framing justified the atrocities to come. Boycotts, firings, professional bans, public humiliation, and legal discrimination. Random beatings and coordinated, systemic violence. Segregation. Dispossession. Deportation. Mass murder with the goal of complete genocide.

Now …

The world today is a tragic mess. Even if the world were not already filled with conflict, inequality, tragedy, horrors and sadism, the advent of new technologies in the past couple of decades would bombard us with the worst images and news imaginable. Sadly, the news is overwhelmingly conflictual, tragic, horrific, the perpetrators of inequality and injustice demonstrating depths of sadism rarely seen. Social media and inescapable 24/7 news and commentary magnify that awfulness.

It all seems so hopeless. What can one person do? There are no easy answers.

And yet, it is at times like these that easy answers are most in demand.

And there is always someone ready to meet that demand.

This is why the “pro-Palestinian” movement has succeeded so wildly. In a world filled with incomprehensibly complex tragedies, this one conflict (which is comparatively minor, in terms of casualties among global flashpoints today) serves to concentrate global attention.

Just as the Nazis projected onto Jews every sin, real or imagined, facing the German people, the “pro-Palestinian” movement projects onto Israel every sin (real or imagined) of today’s world: inequality, injustice, racism, imperialism, greed, nationalism, tribalism … it is a catch-all for whatever one loathes. If the puzzle piece doesn’t fit the picture, the Goebbelses of the Palestinian narrative will hammer it until it does.

The Nazis blamed Jews for the worst sins they could conjure.

The Palestinian narrative blames Israel for the worst imaginable sins — except there’s a twist.

The Nazis mainstreamed genocide as a political imperative.

Since 1945, this has been recognized as the greatest crime humankind has ever invented.

And so, of course, it had to be that this greatest crime would soon come to be projected onto Jews.

Despite all evidence, much of the world contends that Palestinians are experiencing “genocide.”

This has nothing to do with Palestinians or what is happening to them.

It is a make-believe crime invented to frame the Jewish state.

No evidence required.

All evidence to the contrary discarded.

Returning to the lessons of the past, some of the Germans who fell for this propaganda were, in a sense, victims themselves, brainwashed into believing the worst about Jews.

Some of the “pro-Palestinians” who swallow the “Palestinian genocide” Kool-Aid today are likewise victims of a sort, having ignorantly succumbed to one of history’s biggest and most dangerous lies.

But the instigators of the libel know exactly what they are doing.

They are building a case against Jews — Israelis, yes, but Jews generally, since the polite distinctions the more politically savvy Israel-bashers make are irrelevant to those who invented the strategy.

They are creating a scenario in which Jews are widely accepted as perpetrators of civilization’s greatest evil.

Genocide.

In the interest of preventing a repetition of such atrocities — and in the most convoluted (im)moral inversion imaginable, it is the very lessons of Jewish genocide that are often invoked as justification — Israel is denounced as the agent of the greatest evil.

Many of the people who succumb to this outrageous lie are, in a sense, victims, like the Germans before them who fell for hate propaganda.

But those who invented and do the most to perpetuate the genocide libel know exactly what they are doing.

They are pinning a fake genocide on the Jews in order to “solve” the imaginary genocide by planning a real one.

The prevalent anti-Israel slogan says it all: “By any means necessary.”

They will spread the vicious lie that Jews are perpetrating the worst crime imaginable in order to foment that very crime — genocide — against Jews.

It seems incredible.

But this precise blueprint has been used before. With tremendous success.

Folks often confuse ethnic cleansing and genocide. A member of the current Israeli government admits their goal is ethnic cleansing.

Early genocidal zionists could never have predicted the development of the internet. Post-internet, it's near impossible to hide the genocide. :dunno:
