here are my thoughts on this:

The bombing of Iran is a gamble and gambling when president is a very dangerous thing to do because if you lose the gamble, the consequences can be huge and that is not something a president should ever do when the odds are not overwhelming in your favor. To begin with, his own National Intelligence advisor (Tulsi Gabbard) said that Iran was NOT on the verge of building a neutron bomb. As such, Trump followed what Netanyahu/Mossad said and yet they have been saying the same thing for 33 years and have been wrong every time.

This means that the bombing of Iran may not have been necessary at this time. Already, Israel had been successful is harming the leadership of Iran and weakening them, meaning they were now more likely to come to the table to discuss a deal.

The bombing of Iran and hoping that the show of force will cause them to cede and come to the table is ridiculous as the Ayatollah and Iran is the definition of insanity and they will not use common sense now and come to the table. They will return the bombing with more attacks but now those attacks will be on U.S. troops and that will bring a war. I though that Trump promised to be a peacekeeper but this action is the furthest thing from peacekeeping as it gets.

In addition, the Ayatollah is no dummy and I would not be surprised if he anticipated this happening and moved secretly their nuclear capability somewhere else, meaning the bombing may have been mostly a waste of time.

I truly do not know what the answer is but one thing I am sure of, this was a gamble on Trump's part and one that can bring serious consequences to everyone. I think that Trump should have waited and seen how Iran reacted to all the bombing from Israel and the death of several of their leaders and not get the U.S. involved now, especially because the information he had was against what our own intelligence people stated.

Trump acted with his balls and not his brains.

Thank you, Mr. Equivocal. The only thing that you seem to be sure of is Orange Man Bad. Otherwise, your post is internally inconsistent as to logic and facts. Are you aware that "not building nukes" and "having nuclear weapon capability" are two different things? Further, your "gambling" metaphor is incomplete because you do not acknowledge the risk of not taking military action against Iran's nuclear program. Finally, your assertion that Iran was becoming "more likely to make a deal" before the US bombing has no factual basis whatsoever.

I know you will be disappointed if President Trump doesn't put boots on the ground in Iran, but that is your problem.

As much as I hate having to agree with anything this POTUS does I have to admit this bombing run looks flawless.
I do believe Iran's goal has been to produce a viable nuke all along and unlike other nuclear powers in the world I do not believe that once this nation had a solid means to do it they wouldn't have hesitated to use it on Israel.
Now, I don't give a flying flip about Israel's security or America having some "duty" to protect Israel's interest or any of that garbage.
I simply have never been comfortable with the idea that it could be some radicalized, religious, nutcase, ethno-state psycho showing off his first nuclear missle that leads to armeggedon.
IF Iran had ever been allowed to reach Israeli territory with a nuke then Israel would have responded in kind...and once the missles began flying in that part of the world then who knows who else might have been drawn into the melee?
Russia?
Pakistan?
China?
In this case I truly believe it was (and is) better safe than sorry....so kudos to Trump for pulling the trigger on this.

I do find it ironic though that the FIRST time I agree with something, ANYTHING this broken clown show does it just may be the one thing that finally undoes Trump's presidency.

Israel has been saying for 33 years that Iran is on the verge of having a nuclear bomb and during all this time they have been unable to do it. Gabbard (the person Trump CHOSE to be his National Intelligence Director) stated that Iran was not close to building a bomb yet, so explain to me "the rush" to bomb Iran yesterday!!!!
