Trump did not eliminate a wide range of targets, such as military bases, troops out in the field or even the Muslim leader.here are my thoughts on this:
The bombing of Iran is a gamble and gambling when president is a very dangerous thing to do because if you lose the gamble, the consequences can be huge and that is not something a president should ever do when the odds are not overwhelming in your favor. To begin with, his own National Intelligence advisor (Tulsi Gabbard) said that Iran was NOT on the verge of building a neutron bomb. As such, Trump followed what Netanyahu/Mossad said and yet they have been saying the same thing for 33 years and have been wrong every time.
This means that the bombing of Iran may not have been necessary at this time. Already, Israel had been successful is harming the leadership of Iran and weakening them, meaning they were now more likely to come to the table to discuss a deal.
If the Muslims escalate this, do not count on Trump to not go after the rest of Iran useful as military.
