Throughout this entire ordeal we were told the that Iran could not outlast the blockage, that the strait was actually opened, that the economic dangers were fake or overblown and those pointing out these issue has weak hands or no sense of sacrifice.

Welp, Trump himself saying we were walking up to the economic precipe and that Iran controlled the strait despite all the deployed naval assets and threats to militarily open it - it was all bluster and in no way reality based.

Iran deftly played the money card to compel Trump to blink.

It was a maestro performance from a Jackass in the lead part of a piece of Theatrical nonsense --- a drama which will cost the whole planet dearly for at least the next year from Energy and Food shortages.

Ok, not a surprise since the Iranian leadership doesn't care anything about its people or its economy.

Trump apparently opted for the "mow the grass" option, which means we just stop fighting and tell Iran (what Trump said several times during the OP's press conference) that if Iran misbehaves we will bomb the hell out of them again.

In case you haven't noticed the MOU has no enforcement mechanism for the US. It looks like Trump just wants the oil flowing again to keep the world's economy prospering, and US inflation to mitigate.

Did Trump blink. Yes. Does it matter? No.
