You are not far off. The Jews claim that all the tribes of Israel were Jews. The "made up stuff" is the "oral tradition" of Judaism. Some of the Germanic, Gallic, and Briton tribesman were the descendants of the Israelite tribes of the North Kingdom to whom "Jesus was sent only to". The trinity is still a mystery. The Holy Spirit is of neuter gender; however, the Greeks like to assign a gender to things even though they are neuter. By assigning the masculine gender to the Holy Spirit "he" become a person, who can take "his" place within the Godhead.
