Zone1 If Jesus Was A Jew

Then why aren't Christians Jewish? I don't get it.

Remind me to smack you later! :spank: Why would you think that just because Jesus was born a Jew
that he intended only other Jews to be free to follow his teachings? Christianity is open to all.

One of the precepts of Christianity has always been to convert others to Christianity as the act of saving their souls.

God chose the time and the place to offer His son to the world. He could have made his son an Egyptian pharaoh, a Greek king, a Roman emperor, or any other kind of rich, powerful man. But instead, He chose a humble Jewish teacher, in a place and time when Jews had no political power, no wealth, no influence.

There's a reason for that.

Plus He was also born in a barn. Talk about Him being humble.

jesus was not or ever a jew ...

judaism's false commandments, hereditary idolatry is in the conclusion the barrier jesus was not able for the jews to overcome to free themselves from their religion of servitude and denial.

Well, you IMPLIED it by asking why all Christians are not Jews just because Jesus was born a Jew.

I just thought that it would make more sense if we were Jewish since we follow Jesus and that would mean that we would follow His religion but now I see that that was just His bloodline.

Nah, to be Jewish, you need to be born of that racial ethnicity or at least follow the Jewish faith.
Following Jesus per se is following the ideology of Christianity which he started, open to all, irregardless of ethnicity.
Actually, according to strict Jewish faith, they don't believe that the son of God has even come yet.
