I would love to hear the tape. Wouldn't you?

If you had read the article I posted a link to you'd already know the answer.

Several FBI and Justice officials believed that they had a strong criminal case against Homan for conspiracy to commit bribery based on recording him accepting cash and his apparent promise to assist with contracts, according to four people familiar with the probe. Homan could have been charged with a crime then, legal experts say, but his case was unusual: He was not a public official, and Trump was not president at the time he accepted money in the FBI’s undercover sting, so his actions didn’t clearly fit under a standard bribery charge.

Top officials privately debated the possible charges given Homan’s status at the time, people familiar with the case said. But several concluded it would be better for the investigation to continue to monitor his actions once he was back in public office. According to a document reviewed by MSNBC, Justice officials were eyeing four potential criminal charges in his case: conspiracy, bribery and two kinds of fraud.

Tom Homan was investigated for accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents. Trump's DOJ shut it down.

In an undercover operation last year, the FBI recorded Tom Homan, now the White House border czar, accepting $50,000 in cash after indicating he could help the agents — who were posing as business executives — win government contracts in a second Trump administration, according to multiple people familiar with the probe and internal documents reviewed by MSNBC.

The FBI and the Justice Department planned to wait to see whether Homan would deliver on his alleged promise once he became the nation’s top immigration official. But the case indefinitely stalled soon after Donald Trump became president again in January, according to six sources familiar with the matter. In recent weeks, Trump appointees officially closed the investigation, after FBI Director Kash Patel requested a status update on the case, two of the people said.

The rationale the trump government has used to tuck the investigation in to a drawer is it was "politically motivated." a Trump Justice Department appointee called the case a “deep state” probe in early 2025.

But Homan was not the original target in the probe.

The federal investigation was launched in western Texas in the summer of 2024 after a subject in a separate investigation claimed Homan was soliciting payments in exchange for awarding contracts should Trump win the presidential election, according to an internal Justice Department summary of the probe reviewed by MSNBC and people familiar with the case.

I can't put my finger on why, but Homan accepting a bag of cash fits him like a glove. Something about him gives off a mob boss sensibility.

Anyway, during the 2024 campaign Homan made no secret of the power he would have if trump was re-elected. Homan, who served as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement early in Trump’s first term, openly claimed during the 2024 campaign that he would play a prominent role in carrying out Trump’s promised mass deportations. Making the acceptance of bribes all the more believable.

This incident, and the subsequent coverup, rounds out the portfolio of corruption in trump 2.0.

You and your leftist cult can get together for a double feature. The pee pee tapes and the Homan tapes. Let us know how it turns out.

I'm not sure what to believe on this. This happened during Biden's era, why sit on it. Why wait post election. Very weird.
If true, terrible and even more terrible if Trump tries to sweep it under the rug.

Have we ever had a more corrupt President than Trump?

Of course we haven't. Trump makes it easy, everyone working for him passed the loyalty test, therefore they won't be investigated for corruption, and everyone is green lighted to act like he does.
not that I back him, but at least he isn't an autopen.

we know it's him behind the screwups.

Did you think the sources would go on the record with trump having launched a campaign to purge the FBI of anyone considered disloyal to Dear Leader?

Of course you would. Too bad it doesn't exist.

If there really were a tape of Tom Homan accepting a bribe, we would have heard it dozens of times by now.

You can be certain, whomever they were, you can bet your bottom dollar Trump has fired them...he has fired every agent and prosecutor that investigated him and or investigated his friends or followers, like 1/6ers...imo....and just give it a day or two....trump will have their names leaked ....now that the world found out he killed the investigation....

Still trying to rationalize trump pardoning the J6 criminals I see.
One of their primary diversion tactics is to point out something Biden or the Democrats did that was 1/50th as bad as something Trump has done, trying to equate the two.

Equating the Insurrection with street riots being the most obvious, of course.
