So I believe your response is, "no, I do not want a more powerful, more centralized federal government, and no, I do not want more control of the culture." Despite all the evidence to the contrary.

I don't know how you can acknowledge the existence of programs like Obamacare, the efforts to enact initiatives such as carbon taxes, or the promotion and perpetuation of Political Correctness and Identity Politics and make those denials, but I'm pretty much used to it at this point. Denial is one of the fundamental tenets of partisan ideology, and I must admit I've never been able to understand it. I doubt I ever will, as fascinating as I find it.
