According to recent reports, he sent explicit texts to other women while married.

If I were a Maine voter, my position would remain consistent: some men (like Trump) are good leaders but terrible husbands. I'm not voting for a spouse, father in law, best friend, neighbor or pastor. I'm voting for a leader I will most likely never meet. I don't rely on politicians to be saints.

I'd love to see consistency on this board. My fellow conservatives: if Trump's infidelities are no big deal to you, or at any rate, didn't prevent you from voting for him, we shouldn't be fluffing around over this.

Liberals, if you want to destroy Trump because he's a terrible husband, then you should be consistent with Platner.

But I'm guessing the number of consistent posters will be a handful at best.

I assume this is his opponent?
Christ, she's a mess, that scowl. They probably made old Susan lick the wall...amongst other things.

Remember when politicians promised they would balance the budget, not start new wars, prosecute (whoever the bad guys are at the time) but then did none of that?

Don't look at promises. Look at the person.

Problem is, Trump ISN'T a good leader. He's terrible. And as has already been stated, someone who will cheat...is likely to keep cheating. Now, I don't have a dog in this fight, but it seems Maine has already gotten screwed enough with Susan Collins votes. Is she worse than Platner's infidelity?...I'd say at this moment, yes. Time to sweep the old rubbish out and place it in the can.

Wow. A politician who didn’t keep his promise? Unprecedented!

The electorate always have other options.

Maybe, and in Maine, third party options at least have a fighting chance to get noticed. But, it'll be one of the two. Collins or Platner.

Because sadly that is who the people picked when as noted, there are always options.

Granted, rarely do decent people want to run and one can understand why but if we quit re-electing those who stab you in the back, it would at least be a step forward.

So let me get this right: you are appalled by Trump's infidelity but Platner gets a pass.

As I said

The thing about him finding sexual excitement from the smell of port a johns is hilarious. 😂

You go MAINE. You want that guy to REPRESENT YOU IN CONGRESS.

😂

Maybe that is common among Mainers. They get sexually aroused by the smell of portable toilets. 🤮

So I looked up this platner. He promotes fagggtry and gun grabbing. He wants to take your pay and tax it for fat slobs who don’t want to take care of their health.
