I no longer support Roe v Wade

Trump has convinced me

Abortion has divided this country for 40 years. Why continue to fight for it?
Every cloud has a silver lining.

Consider that millions of babies conceived since 1973 by liberal parents, were killed in the womb and so never lived to follow in their parents' footprints.

Could the liberals make a colorable argument that Roe v. Wade resulted in Hillary's defeat in 2016?
Conservative sluts have abortions too
I'd like you to keep in mind the specifics of a D&E abortion the next time you want to use abortion as a political football, ok?

It is still important to establish and enforce Constitutional issues on both sides.
otherwise, this fight will continue if we never finish resolving the conflicts.

As for abortion itself, the problem will end when MEN are held equally
responsible for the decision to have sex, or MORE responsible in the case of rape
and coercion where women didn't agree to the sex, the pregnancy, and/or the abortion.

Address relationship abuse and sexual abuse, and abortion will be prevented as a result.

Remember the crazy republican who said that a woman can stop herself from getting pregnant if she was raped... What a dumb out of touch man.

I do think that the morning after pill should be legal and over the counter for everyone.

But some dumb out of touch man will say that it is abortion......

Q. Do you tell a woman who is considering a D&E that the fetal arms, legs, extremities may be
dismembered is in the course of a dismemberment variation D&E, Dr. Westhoff?
A. I tell patients that we will remove all of the fetus and the uterus and membrane, the placenta
and membranes from the uterus as safely as possible and that that proceeds somewhat differently
for all patients.
~
Q. How often will it be necessary to collapse the fetal skull during D&E whether the D&E
proceeds by a dismemberment or more relatively intact, Doctor?
A. For the vast majority of D&Es [] be necessary it either crush or collapse the fetal skull.
THE COURT: Do you tell the woman that? Do you use the word crush?
THE WITNESS: Your Honor, I do not.
THE COURT: I didn't think so.

What do you recommend if a woman is going to die unless if she has an abortion..
What is your solution?

Maybe not have as many horndog republicans....?

Dear Eaglewings
What we can't deny is the way abortion is regulated now, after pregnancy occurs, those
laws are going to disproportionately affect women more then men; when if you lo ok at the
decision to have sex, there is more chance of coercion by the men over women because of rape, incest and domestic violence
that is statistically more male dominance over women.

If we focused on relationship abuse, that is more equally men and women.

So if our laws keep targeting women more than men, what if laws did the reverse?
What if laws banned sex as RAPE if it leads to unwanted pregnancy, unwanted children,
or unwanted abortion, and hold MEN responsible similar to statutory rape.

That would be unfair also, but the tables would be turned the opposite as they are now,
holding women responsible legally and financially while men are free to walk who might have created
the whole situation or been MORE responsible for the decision to have sex if rape or coercion was involved.

Ask THAT of the men who want to stop abortion:
would they be willing to sign laws that punish MEN if unwanted pregnancy occurs?

sure that's unfair and won't pass, so why promote laws targeting women
when the men should be held at least as responsible if not more?

I would leave that between the people and their doctors.
But most doctors will say this is rare or even preventable now,
and there is very little chance of needing to abort and KILL the baby to save the mother.

If the far right does not believe in supporting any medical establishment or law that allows abortion,
I would say to SEPARATE health care and tax funding tracks where people have a choice to abstain.

Similar to the death penalty and giving taxpayers an option to fund alternatives.

Separate these tracks and we can save resources to prevent both abortion and capital punishment
by investing in better health care and mental health programs that focus on prevention
of both crime and abuse that otherwise lead to these problems we don't agree how to solve "after the fact."

If all we can agree on is PREVENTING them, then we should focus there.
Prevent rape incest abuse to prevent unwanted pregnancy and abortion.
Prevent crime and murder to prevent capital punishment.

Then most of the cases will be prevented.
And our resources will be better spent and invested in
solutions that work instead of fighting over consequences that don't solve or prevent the problems.

It is still important to establish and enforce Constitutional issues on both sides.

Prior to 1972 and Roe v Wade, the states decided whether to allow abortion or not. In effect, Blue states allowed it and red states banned it

After Roe v Wade, women in red states were allowed access to abortion.

With the nomination of Trump, it was obvious that Trump would appoint conservative federal judges and Supreme Court justices who would water down and eventually repeal Roe v Wade.

70 percent of women in Red States supported Trump. It is obvious that women in red states have little interest in maintaining abortion rights in their state

Repeal would mean that small minority of women would have to go to a blue state for abortions.......doesn't seem to be that big a deal to women

.

rosie----the ORACLE AT USMG proclaimeth-----ROE v. WADE will not be overturned I do not recall -----"abortion states" and "non-abortion states---prior to 1972. Prior to 1972 abortions were PREVALENT but not legal unless there was a medical REASON-----the matter was put before a quasi "judicial board" of physicians

Who holds sovereignty over any woman's body when it comes to reproductive rights? Is it the State or the individual in the corporeal sense?

All this faux attention slathered upon the alleged devotion to 'Constitutional Principles' "supported" by religious dogma and/or personal belief is nothing more than a vain sideshow by those behind the curtain as a means of control. Who are you to say you have dominion over the body and life of any citizen of this Nation to force them to yield a portion of their inalienable sovereignty to satisfy any group's unshared beliefs?

Again, who holds sovereignty over any woman's body when it comes to reproductive rights? Is it the State or the individual in the corporeal sense?

The only purpose of Roe v Wade is to allow abortions in Red States

As Trump demonstrated so well, women in Red States really don't care

Dear ding
if more men who accept responsibility and respect both mother and child and health and life for both
are the ones who have children, and don't even bother with women who don't care;
and women quit relations with men who abuse and don't respect consent of women or the health and lives of others,

Dude, have you know shame in using this topic as a political football? Do you really need for me to re-post the court testimony about how they tear the limbs off of the baby while it is still alive? Seriously?

Agreed, but they aren't. That's why women should be more judicious in their standard of conduct... because men can and do run off and leaving them holding the bag, so to speak. I know it's not fair to them, but nobody ever said life was fair. That's just the reality of the situation though.

People are afraid to speak out against anything because feminists stalk among them ready to stir up the mob at the drop of a hat.

I don't know if you are being satirical but it's actually true. Most people don't have much sympathy for the abortion cause, not deep down, not anymore.

Dear The Great Go ose
Yes and no
1. there is as much fear and oppression from prolife radicals who will stalk and threaten
women and feminists, clinics and doctors.
do you know of any prochoice advocates who have shot a prolife doctor in a church?
but a prolife advocate did shoot and kill an abortion doctor in church.

2. More and more people I know are coming out and vocally expressing
they are prolife and against abortion, but prochoice and don't want govt abused to criminalize women.

The answer is what prolife groups are already doing:
educating people on prevention
and providing help to mothers who otherwise turn to abortion for lack of support

Why not propose this:
Since so many people on the prolife side object to any govt funding or
connection with Planned Parenthood that has been abused as a political lobby fundraising machine
why not petition to Trump and Congress to support the Nurturing Network as an
equal alternatives to PP www.nurturingnetwork.org

that for every dollar that goes to PP
it is MATCHED with dollars that go to
the NURTURING NETWORK to expand those services
to provide more health care support for women without the abortion factor?

Why not lobby for separate health care tracks
and let taxpayers CHOOSE which to fund
* federal mandates on right to health care that penalize free market choices
but allow for legalization of abortion and drugs
* free market and charity/business choices for providing health care,
but abortions and drugs will be banned for members cho osing this track
and/or spiritual healing will be required to diagnose and cure addictions
and abusive disorders so no drugs are needed to medicate these symptoms

Almost there ding let's take it further
What about the men?
isn't stopping MEN from having sex if it isn't consensual to have a child
the real key?
Because how many women can force a man to have sex and impregnate them against their will
vs
men who can coerce and force women to have sex and get pregnant
whether the man or the woman wants the pregnancy or child

which is more likely to prevent abortion?
punishing and judging the woman
or focusing on the man to stop coercion and abuse?

if you say both that's fair,
but to continue focusing on the women more than men for the act of sex?
WTF???

where I'd focus on the women is providing better resources so they
don't compromise, and the ones who have been coerced into abusive relations,
or even trafficking which is a growing industry, do ne ed better support.
But that ALSO comes from not judging and putting more on women
than on the men who are at least HALF responsible for the
sex that leads to pregnancy, if not MORE in the case of rape and abuse of women.

Repeal it in red states. In fact try out all of Drumpf's ideas in red states first. I nominate Texas.
