It is still important to establish and enforce Constitutional issues on both sides.
otherwise, this fight will continue if we never finish resolving the conflicts.
As for abortion itself, the problem will end when MEN are held equally
responsible for the decision to have sex, or MORE responsible in the case of rape
and coercion where women didn't agree to the sex, the pregnancy, and/or the abortion.
Address relationship abuse and sexual abuse, and abortion will be prevented as a result.
Remember the crazy republican who said that a woman can stop herself from getting pregnant if she was raped... What a dumb out of touch man.
I do think that the morning after pill should be legal and over the counter for everyone.
But some dumb out of touch man will say that it is abortion......
.
Dear
Eaglewings
What we can't deny is the way abortion is regulated now, after pregnancy occurs, those
laws are going to disproportionately affect women more then men; when if you lo ok at the
decision to have sex, there is more chance of coercion by the men over women because of rape, incest and domestic violence
that is statistically more male dominance over women.
If we focused on relationship abuse, that is more equally men and women.
So if our laws keep targeting women more than men, what if laws did the reverse?
What if laws banned sex as RAPE if it leads to unwanted pregnancy, unwanted children,
or unwanted abortion, and hold MEN responsible similar to statutory rape.
That would be unfair also, but the tables would be turned the opposite as they are now,
holding women responsible legally and financially while men are free to walk who might have created
the whole situation or been MORE responsible for the decision to have sex if rape or coercion was involved.
Ask THAT of the men who want to stop abortion:
would they be willing to sign laws that punish MEN if unwanted pregnancy occurs?
sure that's unfair and won't pass, so why promote laws targeting women
when the men should be held at least as responsible if not more?
