Iran attacks Bahrain and Kuwait following U.S. strikes and threatens to halt talks to end the war
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran launched drone and missile attacks Sunday targeting Bahrain and Kuwait in response to U.S. airstrikes that...
I am following the recent events in the Middle East, hoping that The Donald will at some point be able to inflict enough pain on the Iranian regime (whoever that is) to get them to act like a civilized nation. Killing all their "leaders" didn't have much of an impact. The new ones are just as bad as the old ones.
I firmly believe that the ONE OVERWHELMING ISSUE in this conflict has been forgotten, and from time to time it must be raised and pointed out again. That issue - never actually spoken - is that Iran (the IRGC) does not want Israel to exist. It's as simple as that. They do not have grievances against Israel. They do not have a territorial dispute with Israel. Israel is not gratuitously attacking Iran. The Iranians have no particular love for the so-called "Palestinians," or for the people of Southern Lebanon, or for the Hooties. But they use these folks as weapons in their war against Israel, in the hope that working together, they can cause the nation of Israel to cease to exist. And implicitly, to kill every Jew in the region.
Why does no international actor/leader point this out, and demand that Iran explain & justify its campaign to eradicate Israel?
The reason for the campaign is because some illiterate camel-jockey, about 1400 years ago, got pissed off at the Jews of his time because they rejected his made-up religion.
That's it. And that is why Iran terrorizes the entire region, why the U.S., Israel, and other sympathetic nations are forced to spend hundreds of billions of dollars, expend scores of human lives, and endure generations of economic bullshit. Because of hurt feelings of an ignorant Arab, 1400 years ago.
It's enough to piss a body off.
Do you agree that this is the root issue here? If you disagree, what is it?
