How would you rate the last 10 Presidents?

In Chronological order....

Nixon
Ford
Carter
Reagan
Bush I
Clinton
Bush II
Obama
Trump
Biden

My list... From Best to Worst.... or maybe more appropriate, least worst to much worse

Reagan -
probably the last President who did what he did because he believed it was right. Right or wrong.
Ford - took over a country in shambles. Did a good job of getting things back to normal.
Bush I - he is this high because he did little damage compared to below him.
Clinton - the last President to really try and work with opposition. But his part in turning America into a corporatocracy is.
Trump - nowhere near as bad as Democrats say he is. If he could have controlled his mouth, he would have been much better.
Bush II - this low because of how he fought the Iraq war, and how he ignored a coming economic fall.
Nixon - like Trump, he could have been a good President, but he was his own worse enemy.
Obama - Corporatist/globalist/elitist to the core.
Carter - I don't believe there is any explanation needed
Biden - Is he even really the President in reality?

* Note - I struggled who was least worse between Bush II and Trump. Trump's policies were better than Bush II, but his insistence to be a major player in dividing the country with his motor mouth probably did more damage than Bush II
I'm not going to list all ten in some kind of order but I personally like Reagan and Clinton the best, Nixon and Carter would be the worst. I'll give Biden a pass for now since he's only been president for one year but he's certainly headed in the Carter direction. I listed Clinton as one of the best because he was smart enough to let the Republican Congress drag him kicking and screaming to get things done. Biden actually has a shot of going down a similar path if Republicans take over Congress and Biden changes his stripes and decides that working with Republicans is in the country's best interest (fat chance of that happening).Since Nixon resigned in disgrace it's hard not to have him as one of the worst. It just goes with the resignation territory. If impeached, he would have been the only president in history to have actually been removed from office.

Don't be so hard on yourself. :itsok:
It’s hard for us to communicate. I’m on a higher plane not of the duopoly, so I might as well be speaking a foreign language. You'll never comprehend.

You look pretty stupid calling me partisan over my list when I have a Republican as the best among the others.

:cuckoo:

Are there any presidents by which we can agree to measure this list of presidents? 😏

Trump is well on the way of cementing his legacy as the worst President in history

Permanent damage

Obama - Got us out of the Great Recession, got millions of health care coverage.
Reagan - Got the country out of its post-1970s funk.
Biden - History is going to be kinder to him than his contemporaries. He'll be remembered as the eye of the hurricane. But his insistence on running again doomed us to another round of Trump.

Bush I - Showed some strong leadership during tough times, but his decision to get us into the Gulf War was a mistake.
Carter - Probably too nice a guy to be President, but his economy was better than people remember.
Bush II - Showed some strong leadership after 9/11, but Iraq, Katrina, and the Great Recession nullified it.

Clinton - Corrupt as all get out, he's the problem with guys who think playing the game is more important than the goals.
Ford - The country needed to prove it could hold a corrupt president accountable. Ford pardoned him.
Nixon - Before him, the office was respected. Only one to resign. Enough said.

Trump - Covid, riots, recession, undermining the constitution, open corruption that would make Nixon Blush. Absolutely the worst human being to ever hold the office.

Obama- stopped a Depression, Obamacare

Reagan- Returned faith in America, fall of USSR

Clinton- Amazing economy, balanced budget

Bush 41- Kuwait

Nixon- Good President, Bad Man

Ford- Placeholder after Nixon

Carter- Good Man, Bad President

Bush 43- 9-11, Afghanistan, Iraq, Economic Collapse

Trump- Poorly suited to be President, refused peaceful transition of power

Biden TBD
From the perspective of a non-American:

Clinton- Amazing economy, balanced budget, respected and liked throughout the world, and as such also the USA. But a bit too woke for a rather conservative USA. (provided interims at the White House with a Media career).

Nixon- End of Vietnam-war, laid the groundwork for the decline of the USSR via moving China more to the US side - did a bit of the usual Cold-war era bugging. Might well have pushed up the economy - but 2 years missing of his 2nd turn.

Carter- decisive turn in American way of life - ended fat guzzling cars, pollution targets - as such reshaping/modernizing US manufacturing, screwed up the chance for a 2nd term by supporting the Shah.

Obama- stopped a Depression, Obamacare not really implemented, otherwise provided no real changes for the USA, besides strengthening the elitists.

Reagan- Returned faith in America, bankrupted the country, a massive contributor to drugs in the USA, oversaw the fall of USSR.

Biden - didn't escalate a war with Russia - but didn't bring resolute NATO measures to Ukraine - so as to stop Russia's war. Nor tried to slow halt NATO Eastward expansion. Had to handle Trumps economic ****-up with COVID - so no immediate economic gains during his tenure - and 1 year being senile.

Bush 41- freed Kuwait, screwed up Somalia helping an oil-buddy, introduced open corruption by the elitists to the White House.

Bush 43- 9-11, Afghanistan, Iraq, War-against terrorism, continued furthering corruption by the elitists, Economic Collapse

Trump- Worst person ever for the job President, refused peaceful transition of power, destroyed international order, implemented corruption and elitists controlling the governmnet, dis-functioned the DOJ, ruined the US and Global economy and US standing.

Ford- Placeholder after Nixon - nothing to show for - but also no collapse of the USA. - therefore doesn't qualify for the list.

I had a thread on this some time ago. From best to worst:
1. Trump -- Greatest of all time, because he's right about everything and pushes to do the right thing immediately. Toughest president of all. The only one to take the full force of the left and win. Economics genius. Top negotiator in the world. Brilliant man. By far the most qualified candidate. 50-year hugely successful billionaire business career. Rivaled in understanding of human nature by perhaps only Benjamin Franklin who wasn't even a president. Most conservative-governing president in 100 years. I gave him five lines. He deserves more.
2. Reagan -- Very good. Ended USSR without a shot being fired. Was top until Trump came along.
3. Bush 43 -- 6 straight years of booming economy until the Democrats took over Congress. Tough war president
4 Bush 41-- Tough war president. Good guy over all
5 Nixon -- Good on many issues, but appeased the loony left by creating the horrible EPA.
6 Ford -- OK. Soft on abortion.
7 Carter --Grossly ineffective. Only seventh because the other three were horrible.
8 Clinton -- Debased the office of the president. Lazy. Immoral. Only at 8 because 9 and 10 were so bad.
9 Biden -- Vegetable. Marxist puppet. Horrible. The only thing keeping him from #10 is 0bama.
10 0bama -- Incompetent, stupid, and communist puppet. Completely unqualified. Worst of all time.

Partisan much?

Clinton immoral but not Trump?

Carter had a good economy? Said no one ever who lived through it….

I lived through it.

Here's what nobody talks about. of the ten Presidents on the list, Carter actually had the second best job growth. (The best, ironically, being Biden).

The worst was - wait for it - Trump in his first term, being the only president to post a net jobs loss during his term.

15th post
Nixon - F - Ending Vietnam, opening relations with China, creating the EEOC and EPA, all nullified by Watergate.

Ford - D - Pardoning Nixon was the biggest political mistake in history. It essentially rendered presidents unaccountable through pardon of associates.

Carter - C- Good job growth, lousy inflation, but he kept us out of wars.

Reagan - B - Disagree with a lot of his policies (now, I didn't at the time), but he deserves credit for turning the country around. He also was nowhere near as conservative as Republicans like to pretend he was.

Bush I - D - Gulf War- Completely unnecessary.

Clinton - C - Mostly peaceful, good economic growth, nullified by constant corruption and dodgy deals.

Bush II - D- While he showed solid leadership after 9/11, Iraq, Katrina, and the Great Recession destroyed his legacy.

Obama - B - Turned the country around, built a solid economic base, and wound down Bush's folly in Iraq.

Biden - C+ Economic turnaround nullified by his refusal to accept his medical issues.

Trump - F - Covid. Recessions (yes , we are heading into another one), riots in the streets, Concentration camps, racism, alienating allies, encouraging enemies, and getting us into an unnecessary war.

I will gladly defend Obama as my top pick

He was given an economy bordering Depression losing 800,000 jobs a month and a stock market that had lost half its value
He was also given active wars in Afghanistan and Iraq

Obama stopped the economic collapse and had steady growth for seven years. Nearly tripled the stock market
He killed Bin Laden
He saved the banks and auto companies
He passed Obamacare
He got Iran to abandon its nuclear program
He returned relations with Cuba

Historians agree with me
Obama stopped nothing Bush had already solved the problem before Obama took office. Obama could have great president but he never had the skills and was preoccupied by race. His foreign policy was a failure, he exploited racism when he could have brought the nation together, he expanded government with debt and massive regulations and had to print money to keep the economy from collapsing, quantitative easing. ISIS increased on huis watch he couldnt fight the war on terror. Eric Holder was a racist DA and was 100% political.
Obama care was failure a bottomless pit that went broke and made insurance companies richer. His Iran deal was laughable joke and Iran just kept building and didnt allow inspections. He helped an oppressive communist Cuba oppress its people. Obama the DEI faulure

Trump is the best president in my life time. Biden the worst putting Carter in second place as the worst.
