I watched this documentary on Netflix, anyone else?

It details some of our previously well known despots such as Hitler, Stalin, Gaddafi, etc., to show how they rise to power and how they keep power.

In terms of Gaddafi, they mentioned how he first rose to power and then took on the US and the West to try and extend his power outside of Libya via terrorist acts. However, Reagan then bombed him as he turned tail and hid. Then when Saddam was taken out by Bush, Gaddafi then tried to make nice with the US and the West. The documentary then went on to say that Gaddafi first attained power through taking peoples right to speech away and right to assembly and tortured his opponents, but when he tried to be friends with the West so that he would not meet the same fate as Saddam, the documentary said that this is what cost him losing power because his opposition saw it as a sign of weakness. First of all, the UN, specifically Obama, is who took out Gaddafi and not the opposition in his own country. Without the help of Obama, Gaddafi would still be in power.

I just find it astounding that the documentary completely ignored the Obama intervention in Libya as to why Gaddafi lost power.

Are historians beginning to rewrite this history about Obama?
