How many of you exercise regularly

We haven't heard the ultimate until we hear from the Templarkormac

I do something but I'm not going to discuss it here. A thread such as this is useless because it's just an invitation for everybody to make their obvious bullshit claims.

It generally means that the greater is really the lesser. LOL
I am "following" you and I do so for a reason. Please do share.

How many of us at USMB regularly workout?

Running, weight training, distance walking, swimming, tree climbing?

I have steadily since HS, in the military, at uni, and in the private and public gyms.

We all know that it is good for us.

Tell us what you do.

3 times a week full work out at Gym ... About 2 hours each. Nothing drastic. Some weight training some cardio and I follow a schedule.

I climb 3 floors of stairs every day (up and down) and when I was moving in, you can x that by 20 times a day, for 3 weeks. I also walk down to the mail box and carry my trash to the dumpster. All of this despite recent cancer surgery (hysterectomy) Yes, I was careful on my lifting for the last 6 weeks. When I was asked this question by my doc, when I told him I climb 3 floors of stairs he said, "Yes, you exercise :)

I love exercising, and the Donald H's comments are goofy. So he is on my
A good answer! This thread didn't have a good start, but everybody is paying attention by toning it down!

Regardless of what everybody 'does', it's always best policy to not blow your own horn too much!

Good for you!
Ignore for this thread.

It's good to read what others do. My wife told me when she was teaching in York, that she walked the city every day but Sunday.

Good for you! There's a difference between buttering your own bread (ego bragging for attention) and being proud of your accomplishment.

I would consider that to be legitimate for a wife to tell her husband!

Those who jumped in quickly to brag, have been caught and there's no excuses that can fix it for them.

A friend who takes part in professional sports once told me that you can't tell who's the best by listening to them at the starting line, but you sure can tell at the end of the race. It's intended as a lesson on not being intimidated!

great thread on pole dancing

I had to stop doing pull ups. I developed bad tendonitis in my elbows from them.
I injured by rotator cuff (probably from doing bench presses) and nothing else I tried helped my rotator cuff, not stretching, not targeted exercises, ice, even physical therapy, did anything. Took 8 weeks off, helped a lot, but still pain.

Decided to ease back into lifting and just started doing pull ups, and 3 weeks later, the pain was gone. Ever since I have been hooked on doing them daily.

I suppose I could try and ease into them again.

Just exercise. Don't over do it. Your body knows what it can handle.

You don't need to be superman, batman, or any kind of he-man.

Do what you like doing.

Weight lifting, every day except for the odd day I can't make it. Since my back surgery I can only use machines and light weights. I just lift high reps. I used to belly dance and fence. Sadly this little town has facilities for neither.

Put more into exercise than into your job. Words to live life by.
