How many of you exercise regularly

i'm lucky to walk 50' without needing to rest.

old age and COPD makes it hard to exercise.

More the reason to do what you can to keep going.
I haven't walked in a month because of rain and heat, " excuses".
I feel like I aged 20 years from not walking.
I do dance and take care of house, mopping wood floors since I don't like carpet, cleaning ,cooking.
Plus I lift weights for diabetes. Never took meds for it use diet and exercise, but it is not easy.
Id I want a small piece of cake it cost me 10 minutes od warming up lifting. At times I almost cry ,don't feel like working out,but I want that piece of cake or other carbs.

Walking, light weights, I been feeling good lately and tackling some home repairs. Body weight exercises plus my vitamins. I have to take it slow because of my worn out joints. Starting in 2023 I have gone from a weight of 243lbs and now 220lbs i was at 215 but 215 to 220 is where my doc wants me. Its taken me from the year 2015 to 2025 to get to feeling good again.

A good answer! This thread didn't have a good start, but everybody is paying attention by toning it down!

Regardless of what everybody 'does', it's always best policy to not blow your own horn too much!

Good for you!
The thread is literally all about revealing your daily exercise routine

How is “blowing your own horn” even possible when it’s the entire subject of the thread?

I go to the gym to lift every other day

You got to have those rest days in between. Muscle building is all about tearing muscle fibers through heavy lifting, then resting and eating heavy so they repair bigger than they were before

On the days I don’t lift I try to get in at least a 2 mile walk/hike but that hasn’t been happening as much as it should

Thank you for sharing, you goof!

Understanding comes with maturity.

Do you still like yourself a lot when you pose for yourself in front of a mirror?

How does it make you feel when you get caught doing it?

Well since I don’t do that outside of my bathroom mirror, it doesn’t come up

How many of us at USMB regularly workout?

Running, weight training, distance walking, swimming, tree climbing?

I have steadily since HS, in the military, at uni, and in the private and public gyms.

We all know that it is good for us.

Tell us what you do.

I walk 2-3 miles or swim for an hour 5 days a week.

15th post
Wife and I do this exercise class at the gym, three days a week; "Active Aging".
Sometimes do extra time at the gym but this time of year we have plenty to do outside working the garden, orchard, etc.

That's quite the river. My daughter and her family live near by in Green Acres, used to live within Spokane. Their oldest son starts at Gonzaga this Fall.
I lived in Spokane and moved south this last year, beautiful area but the winters are too cold for me. I love the area though.

Papagregario, generally, where did you move?

I served a training course at Ft Lewis and remained more than in the southeast.

Did not like it.
