It's most interesting to read what Brits think about The Donald and his amazing rise in American politics. They give the facts as they see them but clearly do so with a great deal of hesitation. Here are still some primaries ahead but it seems little doubt that he will gain the number of delegates necessary for the nomination.

Republicans are famous for shooting themselves in the foot. Perhaps this time they can finally get it right.

Donald Trump and, to some extent, Bernie Sanders, both have supporters who rally around their personalities as much as their policies. It’s a sign of the times

Hillary Clinton may not be able to count on support in mountain and mining states in the same way Barack Obama and her husband did

We really needed a politician who was rich enough to be invulnerable to the Stasi.

Trump will bring all his own staff to the white house, and let the permanents go on paid holiday for 8 years. You'll see.

The RNC will be twiddling thir thumbs in idleness, because e'll pay his own people to do what they do. You'll see.

It's going to be a landslide victory for Trump. He will even win in deep blue states. Obama has pulled the Democratic Party so far to the left, and Americans don't want another eight years of that. So we need a course correction.

$170 million isn't very much.

IIRC Hillary's PAC raised $70 million last month.

again, West virginia was lost a long time ago.

Trump has to worry about losing Arizona, Georgia, UTAH!!!, Florida, Missouri.

I think more than likely, though, Trump is going to completely melt down when he finds the MSM isn't as compliant and laughing along with the joke after he secures the nomination.

Have you looked at RCP's electoral map lately? Here, let me help you.

Hillary only has a strong grasp on 143 EV's. Hillary has a lock on 227.

Of the 168 EV's in "Toss up states", (Including reliably red states like Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Indiana and North carolina) Hillary would have to win 43.
