Same reason why Christians & Radicals can't see the lies, corruption, manipulation, & propaganda.
It's called affiliation pride & gang mentality.
It makes people accept some sickening behavior within the gang while also disturbingly rejecting good if it comes from an outside the affiliation source, especially if an opposition. That's the problem with rival teams, gangs, affiliations=pride over substance.
