Liberals Bet They Could Beat Trump With the Law. They Lost.

They made things worse for themselves, they made Trump stronger.
The left weaponized the justice system. Take the New York case. They retroactively extended the statute of limitations just to go after Trump. Then they took a misdemeanor and expanded it into 34 felonies, for a business entry dispute. Finally, they used that as pretense to go after his entire business empire. Millions of Americans were horrified at what they saw. And it backfired badly on the Dems.
Thank you Dems.

This whole thing has less to do with Trump than the idiocy and authoritarian policies that the left has been pushing.
1. The primary cause of inflation. A government that spends more than it takes in. While suffering with inflation, the government gave millions of illegal migrants, FREE PLANE TICKETS TO ANYWHERE THEY WANTED, FREE DEBIT CARDS, FREE HOTEL ROOMS and FREE MEALS. Who had to pay for all of this, the citizens who can't get such things.
2. Ending border control so that people like drug-cartel members, murderous Venezuelan gangs, MS-13, rapists, terrorists and thieves can just stream over it. Why? Because they are part of the Global Elitest Marxist No Nation Borders, Free Movement of Peoples believers.
3. Mothers and fathers knowing that their young girls are being forced to share bathrooms with biological males who simply have to say they are female, in order to access those areas for their own sick desires.
4. Mothers and fathers championing their daughters to succeed in sports, only to see them lose to biological males.
5. Laws being implemented in blue states that are blatantly unconstitutional.
Those are the reasons the left lost.

"Nobody was trying to "beat" Trump using the law."?

Oh please! You actually believe that?
You have to realize that the children that are indoctrinated by the democrat cult really believe everything that they are spoon fed

No, lawfare lost.

And the protected criminals of the Biden regime lost, too.

Bringing up bogus charges against someone you knowingly hate politically in front of 12 people in a district that is 90% democrat renders our "blind justice system" absolutely useless.

Don't forget, THE BANK he took out the loans with said they were fine with his valuation of his property, they were paid back in full, and were quite happy. Doesn't exactly sound like a crime, does it? Certainly NOT A FELONY. Much less 34 felonies LOL
Who is THEY?

WHO are the THEY that used lawfare? New York State? The state of Georgia? The State of Arizona?

NOT the DOJ....

I think y'all are conveniently lumping all different State legal and civil cases, with the two Special Counsel federal cases for the classified documents and the election subversion, when State legal systems and civil systems have NOTHING AT ALL to do with the federal DOJ, and the Smith cases brought, that we the people, had a right to see a trial to fruition, for justice to be served....

And Trump's using lawfare of delay, delay, delay, appeal, appeal, appeal, delay delay delay...

Fits the saying.....

Justice delayed,
is justice denied.....

lawlessness.

  • Fact
Reactions: IM2
The same od idiocy from the right. They are always the victim no matter how many laws they break.

So the prosecutors in GA met with the WH and the DOJ before they brought charges ... for milk and cookies?
That's simply not true....

What took place was perfectly normal.....and expected.

It has been known since 2021, when Ms. Willis’s began her investigation, that she sought to make use of evidence gathered by the House Jan. 6 committee. Her office’s contacts with the White House Counsel’s Office came in 2022, as she was gathering facts and evidence about the conduct of Trump White House officials and seeking to compel their testimony before a special grand jury.

One of the officials who would be subpoenaed to testify was a former White House counsel, Pat Cipollone.
---------------------
Ms. Willis’s office was preparing to subpoena dozens of witnesses to appear before a special grand jury she convened in Atlanta, whose members would spend several months listening to testimony.

Mr. Wade’s billing records indicate that an “Interview with DC/White House” took place in mid-November 2022, while the special grand jury’s work was still underway. At the time, Ms. Willis’s office was battling in court to secure the testimony of another former official, Mark Meadows, who had served as White House chief of staff during the 2020 election. Mr. Meadows was later among those indicted in the case.

Mr. Meadows’s aide Cassidy Hutchinson, a central figure in the House Jan. 6 hearings, was also among the witnesses who testified before the special grand jury in Georgia.

Norman Eisen, a former special counsel in the Obama administration, said it was common for the White House Counsel’s Office to become involved when the testimony of officials from former administrations is sought, because there may be issues of executive privilege

LOL And you believe that? Funny that Mr. Wade couldn't remember any of that or even who he met in the WH when he was deposed.

Actually, the prosecution won BIGLY in the one case that went to trial.

Let's have the trials.

Trump can't jail anyone. He's not the judicial, he's the executive.
Actually, the prosecution won BIGLY in the one case that went to trial.

Really? He's done zero time in jail and his sentence date has been postponed to 2029. That doesn't sound "bigly" to me. Sounds "smally" at best.

Then dozens of other charges against him have been dropped without even going to trial.

The left weaponized the justice system.
Liar. trump committed crimes for which he was indicted by multiple grand juries. trump has weaponized the justice system in his favor by packing the SC with loyalists who did all they could to stymie the rule of law, allowing him to evade justice.

As usual, this drivel from the NYT attempts to see their failure to get Trump as a PROCESS error instead of an error of PURPOSE.
Now a precedent has been set-- when Trump gets in, he needs to hire attorneys to go through the lives of Smith, Bragg, James, Engoron and Willis, find an angle, weaponize it, and use it to tear their lives to shreds, so badly that no one will ever dare use the law as a weapon thusly ever again.
good luck with that

you do know this sort of thing will produce nada

"Nobody was trying to "beat" Trump using the law."?

Oh please! You actually believe that?
Considering criminal investigations started before Trump was a candidate?

and like the crazed election conspiracies you people engage in -- differing states, counties and the federal government are separate like counties on national elections

low information citizens are a cancer on American society

I suggest you wake up

I don't know if Trump would have even been elected in 2016 but for democrats. It's certainly true in 2024. The greatest statistic I have seen is exit polls from this election where, out of the voters who said their number one reason for voting was to save democracy, 60% of them voted for Trump.
link???????????????????????????

and btw, this is not based on exit polling and it still doesn't back your up claim:

then we get:

Majority of US voters say democracy is under threat but are split on who to blame, poll shows

Survey finds distrust between Democrats and Republicans but most voters believe election results will be accurate
