House Dems Want Amnesty for Illegals in Virus Relief Bill

Those we bring in to do things like process our food should be able to get a legal wage.
That would defeat the purpose of binging in illegal workers. If they wanted to pay a legal wage, there are plenty of people to fill those jobs, but a legal wage is way more expensive.

Absolutely. I've noted for a long time what is going to happen.

After these millions are made legal over time the businesses will replace them with more illegal workers and those who lose their jobs will get welfare benefits.

All because we refuse to enforce our employment laws.
It starts at the top.

The Chamber of Commerce and all the cronies want illegal labor to avoid taxes. They have no interest in legal wages.

They are the biggest "exploiters" of illegal labor.

How could we have possibly stopped this bullshit?

Let me note........the Chamber of Commerce is "us".

We could easily stop it but as you note, business wants it and business gets it. Business is "us".
Yeah, how is business us? What control do we have?

We can vote with our feet, but we must expose those doing it and boycott. Do you have a list?

Its going to be a bank buster bill with bail outs for blue states and foreign aid the likes we have never seen before....but the amount for you the individual tax payer that has lost everything goes lower and lower the more they squabble....

LOL, I guess that somehow makes sense to you, LOL

A person would need an IQ of at least 80 to understand that if they are coming here illegally, we aren't bringing them in.

How Many Employers Have Been Prosecuted for Employing Illegals? | HRExecutive.com

Yea it requires them to KNOWINGLY hire illegals

Which is next ti impossible to prove if the employer is competent. And whose fault is it? Who knew? Was it the manager? CEO? Who

Not impossible to prove some one is here illegally.

Do you really think this argument works?

Those we bring in to do things like process our food should be able to get a legal wage.

Or we could cut off the supply of cheap labor and raise wages?

What the fuck?

We could but we won't. With that being the case we are left with this.............

Even if we could cut off every single person entering the country (which we can't) that does nothing about the millions already here doing jobs like processing our food.

Yea we wont' because we keep shipping in illegals lol

Higher wages or end to mass low skill migration

pick one

You can ship in millions of engineers not people with below a HS education.

Anyone who believes the illegals don't hurt domestic worker wages is an idiot.

Higher wages. I've argued that for years. It's not a tough choice. Business isn't interested in that though.

Of course illegals hurt domestic workers. Why don't we do anything about those who hire them?

Because we a capitalist society that never hurts capital? Any other dumb questions?

We can prevent them from coming and have political support for it.

You need to get your priorities straight

Americans come first.

"why don't we do this thing that has no political viability"

Sort of answered that yourself didn't you

I didn't say that so...........................

Preventing them from coming does nothing about the millions already here and as long as the jobs are here they will come.

You understand that adding more continues the problem, right?

Absolutely. I'm simply noting what is going to happen because we refuse to address the actual issue.

If we stop the flows eventually they will die and their children will be Americans. The problem will solve itself under our law if you actually convince people coming here illegally isn't a good idea.

Not that complex

IDK why you think we let 30 million in so we should just let a few hundred million more in? No difference? That's what you're saying here.

It's stupid

You are arguing we can address this in 100 years. I'm not interested. We can address it now.
Address it now with a border wall.

Its going to be a bank buster bill with bail outs for blue states and foreign aid the likes we have never seen before....but the amount for you the individual tax payer that has lost everything goes lower and lower the more they squabble....
Because it is a treasury raid disguised as charity.

Foreign aid is the biggest "legal" money laundering scheme ever devised. It goes out, and right into the pockets of the very public officials supporting it.

The problem isn't employers necessarily

That's a way to get them to self deport

BUt there are many ways to convince illegals to leave. We will do something.

That something isn't e verify and put onus on employers

We can push the illegals out tho. And certainly convince new pepole not to come.

I could do it in a day just start shooting pepole as they try to cross.....Solved

You think there is only one way to do this but there is not. You are a low born pleb who doesn't know anything about policy.

We can demand those we elect actually enforce the election law. As we see here, what those who pretend to be to be against this only make excuses for it. "Us".

Yea it requires them to KNOWINGLY hire illegals

Which is next ti impossible to prove if the employer is competent. And whose fault is it? Who knew? Was it the manager? CEO? Who

Not impossible to prove some one is here illegally.

Do you really think this argument works?

Excuses. Even if this was true, and it's not we could demand stronger laws. We do not. And no one can hire an illegal without the governments consent.

Not to mention that his term "bringing them in" would not only entail an employer hiring them knowingly, but actually reaching out to them while in Mexico and arranging for their illegal entry.

Businesses do both. But whatever, continue to make excuses. I noted many times while Trump was president that if he refused to address the employers, soon we would make those here illegally, legal. Keep on making excuses and watch what happens when they also get the right to vote.

ANd yes they can. They just give you a fake social or they say they didn't ask for anything. Or you can put them as independent contractors and reduce the need for any paperwork.

And again punishing employers is not what our politics wants.

Punishing the illegals is.

Mexico is very selective about the people it wants to accept into their country permanently in terms of education, wealth, etc. As for here in the US, I’m indifferent to education and wealth. As is often pointed out, many of our ancestors came here with little or no education or wealth. All I ask is for those seeking to come here do so legally.

It's 2020 legal or not doesn't matter

Low skill immigration drags down wages

Our poorest don't need the competition. And that is who is hurt by this

Everyone else benefits illegal or legal. Beyond creating a giant latino underclass. More people is almost always better, more people while keeping per capita income steady is 100% always better for society.
