Politifact has a verdict on whether Democrats want to give illegal aliens health care!!!

View attachment 1170278
We’ve been arguing about whether this is true or false this board, but it’s finally been looking into by the independent PolitiFact. The verdict:
The claim is a lie. No push to give an illegal immigrants healthcare. Excerpt:

ā€œThe Democrats' proposal wouldn’t give health care to immigrants illegally in the U.S. — they are already largely ineligible for federally funded health care. Instead, the proposal would restore access to certain health care programs for legal immigrants who will lose access under the Republican law.

The White House did not respond to PolitiFact’s request for comment for this fact-check. Vance addressed criticism of his talking point in another interview by saying it was included in the Democrats’ spending proposal; it’s not.ā€

I have something to say, though. Liberals lie way more often than conservatives. Yes, in this particular case we were the liars, but it doesn’t erase the record of lies coming from the liberal side.ā€
The fact that they want to use ANY government money for healthcare is illegal, unconstitutional and immoral. Not a single cent of Federal money should be going to healthcare in any way.

i read that set of demands it doesn't contain a request to give illegal aliens health care. And that's why you just hurled a link into the board instead of pasting a quote from it.
Didn't read it too closely, huh? Democrats want these sections of the existing law repealed

  • Sec. 71109, Alien Medicaid Eligibility. This provision changed immigration terminology that is used to determine whether an individual is eligible for Medicaid benefits. The change narrowed eligibility to U.S citizens, lawful permanent residents, certain Cubans/Haitians in the U.S., and residents via the Compact of Free Association (Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands). Previously, benefits were available to a broader set of ā€œqualified aliens,ā€ including immigration parolees and asylees.
  • Sec. 71110, Expansion of Federal Medicaid Match Rate (FMAP) for Emergency Medicaid. This provision reduced the FMAP for emergency services provided to unlawfully present aliens in states that expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) from a federal enhanced match rate of 90 percent to the standard federal match rate for each state.
  • Sec. 71201, Limiting Medicare Coverage of Certain Individuals. This provision applied the same Medicaid eligibility restrictions to the Medicare program, again narrowing Medicare eligibility to ā€œlawfully permanent residentsā€ rather than the previous, broader category of ā€œqualified aliens.ā€
  • Sec. 71301/71302, Permitting Premium Tax Credit Only for Certain Individuals and Disallowing Premium Tax Credit During Periods of Medicaid Ineligibility Due to Alien Status. Similar to the Medicaid and Medicare changes, these provisions narrowed eligibility for the ACA premium tax credits to those who are lawfully present and would prohibit an alien who is found to be ineligible for Medicaid from also qualifying for a premium tax credit.

They get ER services for free by LAW… and Trump’s budget is not going to change that.

What it changes is the hospitals being reimbursed for services the are mandated to provide

And it’s NOT ā€œwhat you have been sayingā€

Not at all

YOU are the ones lying
Yeah. If they aren't here, THEY DON'T ******* GET THEM!

DUH!

Just how stupid are you?

Yes they get ER services. That’s mandated by LAW

Trump’s budget would prevent ERs from recouping those costs so they get rolled into healthcare costs for all of us
Where do they recoup the costs from now?

Nice wish

Wonderful how cretins think up unworkable ā€œsolutionsā€ and then pretend they are reasonable and possible
I thought that was what sanctuary cities are for.

Check out this thread.

DHS releases criminal history of illegal alien former Des Moines school superintendent ($306,00 a yr)

And what...

Nobody is disputing his deportation if done the proper way...

What's your point?

Biden and Obama deported these types of cases all the time...

LOL

He was the superintendent of a school district, you think he had health care?

But, illegals can't get healthcare!

TPS holders are NOT undocumented.
Undocumented = No legal status, no authorization to be in the U.S.
TPS holders = Have temporary legal status, lawfully here, have work authorization and government-issued documentation.

Liar.
Once their TPS status is revoked, pack them up and deport them.
