Tennessee fires shot across the bow of secessionist blue states that issues driver's licenses to illegals

I swear you get dumber by the day! Answer the ******* question!

So, which right applies to denying illegals the right to drive in your state?

What right under the Constitution are you claiming we violate by denying illegals the right to drive?

Your original post said:
Basically all the rights in the bill of rights applies to citizens, non-citizens alike. They have been referred to as God given inalienable rights. Possible exception (just off the top of my head) might be the 2nd Amendment, but I am not even certain, about that.

The underlined statement is a lie because they are not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution. You are thinking of the Declaration of Independence, dumbass!
Dumbass, if you have an answer, you answer it for us or hunt up some schlep that claimed driving was a right.

**** you, you piece of shit Troll. If you don't like Tennessee laws, write Ronnie Glynn, your representative, and ***** to him.
Ronnie Glynn is your ******* representative, dumbass! Not mine!

Yoda would say: "Terminally stupid you are!"

I haven't complained about the laws. You were citing Constitutional rights using the Declaration of Independence!

You said you lived near Fort Campbell, and Ronnie Glynn represents that area.
I would write or call Chris Todd and Johnny Shaw, but most likely Chris Todd, as I live in the 73rd district.
I didn't mention the Declaration of Independence, I mention the Bill of Rights, first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution.
**** off Troll.

I wonder if this will survive legal challenge under the 14th Amendment (interstate travel) and the Privileges and Immunities Clause. Being able to drive through a state is generally protected if you have a valid out of state license. Interesting.

Nope. You morons screwed that strategy up with gun bans.

Then explain how I voted for Matt Van Epps to be my Congressman in December fucktard!

I am in the 7th district. You live in the 8th Congressional district. The county that Jackson is in is the eastern boundary.

Inalienable rights are not mentioned in the Constitution, fucktard!

Wrong on both counts, fucktard!

Not a troll. You are just a fucktard and WRONG!

Good on Tennessee. They're going to arrest anyone they catch with out-of-state driver's licenses issued to illegal border crossers, by other states.. The law took immediate effect on Thursday, January 1.

Tennessee BANS use of out-of-state driver's licenses for illegal immigrants

"Tennessee has implemented a new law that prohibits the recognition of out-of-state driver's licenses issued exclusively to illegal immigrants, exposing such individuals to criminal charges if caught driving in the state. The law took immediate effect on Thursday, January 1.

The measure, House Bill 749 and Senate Bill 1086, aims to tighten restrictions on driving privileges for those without legal status in the United States, aligning with broader efforts to address immigration-related concerns at the state level. It specifically targets licenses from other states that are marked or designed to indicate they were issued to non-US citizens, making them invalid for operating vehicles in Tennessee. Certain states, like Connecticut and Delaware, have special markings on driver's licenses distributed to illegal immigrants, while other Democrat-run states, such as California, Washington, and Oregon, do not.

Under the new rules, illegal immigrants found driving with these invalidated out-of-state licenses could face a Class B misdemeanor charge, punishable by up to six months in jail and fines. Currently, 19 US states and Puerto Rico allow illegal immigrants to obtain some form of driving privileges, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, but Tennessee joins a small group—including Florida, Wyoming, and New Hampshire—in invalidating certain out-of-state versions.

State Rep. William Lamberth, a Republican and strong supporter of the bill, said during a debate on the House floor: "The sign says, 'Welcome to Tennessee, illegal immigrants are not welcome,'" per the AP. Law enforcement officials have been advised to verify licenses against the department's published list, and state troopers are expected to enforce the rule during routine patrols.

Recently, the Trump administration cracked down on states distributing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants following a significant number of fatal car crashes, which continue to occur, according to recent reports."

I'm so proud to be a Tennessean. It will be us Appalachian Americans who ultimately respond to the calls for civil war just so you know.

Don't be an Idiot. US Congressman Epps is in The US House of Representatives. The United State Congress does not make Tennessee state laws. You don't even know what the people you vote for do for a living, or where they serve. You only know they have an "R" in front of their name, you putz.

I could have sworn we were talking about illegals. State law has nothing to do with that. I don't know what kind of drugs you are doing, but you shouldn't be posting.

Funny. I thought we were talking about the OP thread topic and Linked article. One of us did not read the OP Thread post or even the title of the thread. Try to do better.

You deflected to the Constitutional rights. Blame yourself for derailing the thread.

Actually, no "Right", in the bill of rights is contingent upon citizenship. They just aren't.

Basically all the rights in the bill of rights applies to citizens, non-citizens alike. They have been referred to as God given inalienable rights. Possible exception (just off the top of my head) might be the 2nd Amendment, but I am not even certain, about that.
Isn’t the Preamble titled “We The People Of The United States” and not We The People Of The World?
Weren’t our founding documents authored by us for us?

And that has what to do with it? That does not speak to bill of rights being only to Americans or anyone in the country.

Well, sanctuary states are breaking federal law and nobody is doing much about that, and the cotus says people should be able to carry firearms and states are not recognizing people’s constitutional rights, so, people are trampling all over the cotus

It won’t.

Just more redneck noise.

The last two clauses of the first section of the amendment disable a State from depriving not merely a citizen
of the United States, but any person, whoever he may be, of life, liberty, or property without due process of law,
or from denying to him the equal protection of the laws of the State.

Which would then include those "laws of the State" that those illegal aliens may not drive there,
