Zone1 Have we lost The Bible Story?

In the context of that post "we" would be you and I. As soon as you acknowledge your error we (as in you and I) can move on. Now do you understand?
WTF. I said that the disciples were not afraid of the weather. They we're afraid of being lynched.

You claimed I said that fishermen aren't of water. This is your error. A pathetic attempt to deflect.

There is no we that has to move on. You need to move on. You were caught being a dick, again.

I'm satisfied.

What you said is a matter of public record. If you are getting confused, I suggest you go back and read it to understand the beat down I gave you. Or you can just alter reality as you are wont to do so you don't have to feel so dumb.

1 Peter 3:15

are you delusional -

too bad for you bing - ours is the spoken religion of antiquity, six words in length - not your 10000 page book of forgeries, lies and fallacies ...

the desert and we are mutually exclusive - * there is no we.

Right.

Public record. I said they weren't afraid of the weather, not aren't. THEY WERE AFRAID OF BEING LYNCHED. Aside from that why would his friends, seasoned fishermen, turn to Jesus, a carpenter, to do something about a "furious squall"? What was he going to do that they couldn't?

You still "believe" the story is about Jesus controlling the weather and not calming a furious mob gathering to lynch them??? Where does the walking on water fit in? Did they walk to the shore?

The beat down? :auiqs.jpg:

Keeping digging.

We simply have different perspectives of God, and I find nothing at all wrong with that.
Actually, we have different perspectives of Biblical history. For example, you are suggesting that all Israelites were Jews.

I guess you probably should quote the post where you think I made that "suggestion".

Please quote the verse that says all the babies were killed.
2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly

I am not interested in bad faith equivocation, if that's what you're planning. The disgusting and immoral bible says what it says.

I'm certainly not planning "equivocation". I am asking you to point out in the Genesis account where it mentioned babies. I also note in Peter's letter, it does not mention babies. You seem to want to talk about babies where no babies are mentioned. Why don't you want to talk about what is mentioned?

From your post #459,

"He has spent thousands of years with the Jews, a few thousand less with Christians and Muslims (and many other religions), with no end in sight, and no hint that He is giving up on any of us."

I'm sure you meant Israel.

I'm sure you meant Israel.
Not the way you define it, no. I do not dismiss the tribe of Judah who went first (praise goes first), followed by the others. Then, by the time of Christ Judaism was a faith embraced by many who came from the various tribes of Israel, including (gasp) those of Judah.

Also, God has to date spent twice as much time with Christians as he has with the Jews.

Which is bad faith interrogation. Sealioning.

You know exactly where and why it says that.

I guess I'll wait for someone more honest to come along.

slippery ...

Sealioning - is a type of online harassment or trolling that involves asking someone questions or making requests to upset them. The goal is to make the other person's position seem unreasonable or weak. Sealioning often takes place on social media, forums, and message boards.

since when were babies made exceptions during the great calamity - the reason for their just reward being the very upbringing of their children.

How do you figure?

God is God - God "spends time" with those who seek him - Jew, Gentile and yes, many others.

In terms of Prophets - there were dozens and dozens of Prophets - spanning over 1000 years - Prophets spoke by the Power of The Holy Spirit - yes, God. Judaism is still alive and well in 2024 - so Judaism as a written religion is over 3000 years old (5000+ years Old if you go by Oral Tradition)

Christianity - an evolution of Judaism - is also the same age - for Christianity is based on Judaism - the same written texts dating back 3000 years with the addition of the New Testament approximately 2000 years ago. The introduction of the New Testament does not mean "God no longer spends time with Jewish people" - To say so runs contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ and makes God out to be some sort of "limited" force that can only inspire a certain set of people at a time - not true.

Rather, I know what is said and what is not said. I also know why. I am simply pointing out "babies" are not mentioned in either account, and it appears it is beyond your ken to admit, "That's right. Babies are not mentioned." And you don't seem to have any curiosity why two Biblical authors left out any mention of babies.

Since you are adding babies into the story, what is the story you wish to tell? I imagine it may be much different from the story the original authors wish to tell. What say you?

- pot calling kettle back ...

Matthew 24:39, which states that “the flood came and took them all away,” and Luke 17:27, which declares that “the flood came and destroyed them all.”

meriweather hasn't the faintest idea the meaning and purpose of noah's parable.

Since Christ was crucified God has been building up the church of Christ while at the same time punishing the Jews. If that's "spending time", it's sure not quality time.

Christianity didn't evolve from Judaism. It is the antithesis of Judaism.

In what way(s) is God punishing Jews?

So wrong.
