Zone1 Have we lost The Bible Story?

I did not say the story didn't happen. I said, based on the story, the great flood was not planet-wide, it was a local flood where waters covered the ground as far as the eye could see.
The eye can't see any further than the horizon and so even standing on a mountain doesn't make a great flood. The eye on the horizon at sea level gives you a 7 kilometer puddle. Is there any point in continuing this nonsense? It's doing nothing to enrich our mutual understandings we've achieved so far.

We have a good God, and He'll let you have it-

who's we, the heavens have nothing to do - with the 4th century christian bible.

were a document even needed - as to sin no more is available in all languages presently or ever spoken.

You should have learned at least one thing today.

The only way to change minds on this topic is by friendly persuasion. Not insults!

and you are who ... fantasyland.

atheism is relatively new to the market - than their persecution and victimization but you just drink the cool aide its just a pastime for the innocent.

jesus never read the christian bible, the most insulting book ever written as the victim of their crime.

Good grief, NO!!

That's a question that science hasn't answered yet, and may not ever answer.

Genesis can suppose whatever suits it? But no, it can't assume anything on behalf of science. That lesson should have been learned in the Dover ID court.

Science has moved on from the 'big bang' being the beginning of everything.

It shouldn't be just Christians who insist that religion and science shouldn't be discussed together!
No other way for the CMB to exist other than paired particle production. So science has determined the universe began. Which clearly must disturb your atheistic worldview.

Did The Universe Have A Beginning? - Forbes

Jul 6, 2021 · It reopens the question of whether the Universe had a beginning at all, and the answer so far is that we aren’t sure. Here’s why. The Big Bang, originally, was an idea that attempted to...

You don't want to prove me wrong, you need to prove science wrong. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to convince yourself at least that you are right!
Why not email Brian Cox to see if he has time to debate the question?

Maybe ask Forbes to explain the origin of the CMB.

The god and answers in Genesis has obviously provided you with new knowledge that needs to be shared with science's top physicists, on the CMB's evidence they are still not aware of!

Or on the other hand, just write it off to you having a bad day? LOL

I'm pretty sure they are already aware of the similarities.

Maybe you can explain to me why you think Genesis doesn't say the universe was created and that everything unfolded sequentially from there over time?

Here's what you get when you google, "is the CMB evidence the universe began"

Yes, the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) is considered strong evidence that the universe began with a Big Bang, as it is interpreted as the leftover radiation from the very early, hot, dense state of the universe, essentially acting as a "snapshot" of the universe's beginning stages; making it a key piece of evidence supporting the Big Bang theory.

I can't with any credibility, but as is true for all of us on this board, I can offer opinions as is shown below. But I will mention that which I know is true and has been established time after time by atheists and believers alike:

Religious beliefs and science can't be discussed or debated together.

We can therefore allow you to be right from religion's POV.

Or can we? Is your personal certainty on any of the questions in sync with the CC proclaiming that other Christians are free to believe whatever they fkn like?

We're finished for the day my friend. Take some time to examine yourself for wounds that you should lick!

Haven't I already addressed that?

Remind me of that tomorrow.

Which is odd because you acted like you knew when you said you believe I started from my Catholic faith and looked to justify it as logical.
That much I know. The absence was new to me.

Well then, I'm glad I don't need your help.
I'm a big fan of letting people get what they wish for. Experience is the best teacher especially when they get to experience the consequences of their choices.

Again... you don't have a clue how much time, study and thoughtful reflection went into it. I probably spent more time studying some of the primal religions than you spent studying the evangelical religion you were raised in. (see what I did there?)
