Watching overseas commentary the last few weeks, it's clear the rest of the world sees that we've now become predatory and transactional, and that we're no longer the country they used to respect and admire so much.

They're trying to warn us, out of experience, about the direction we're headed.

Which is completely irrelevant unless Greenland and Denmark both agree to Greenland’s complete independence from Copenhagen…..

And then the new Greenlandic government would have to write and adopt a constitution in line with the American constitution….

And then the new constitutional government of Greenland would have to hold a referendum where its citizens vote to submit to the US congress a formal petition to join the USA….

And then congress would have to vote to amend the constitution to even allow for the possibility of admission of Greenland into the Union….

And then, once an amendment is passed, a majority of both chambers of congress must vote to pass a joint resolution to accept Greenland into the Union…..

And then the president must sign this joint resolution presented to him by congress.

The only step in that process that could happen is Trump signing the document. None of the preceding steps will ever happen. Therefore none of it will ever happen.

Majority of Greenlanders favor Trump’s plan to join US: Poll​

A new poll out of Greenland found its residents agree with President-elect Donald Trump’s suggestion that the country join the United States.

Trump is the latest U.S. leader to attempt to bring Greenland and its population of over 50,000 people among its territories. Greenland’s location is a concern for Russian naval activity. The Greenland-Iceland-United Kingdom gap could prove to be an obstacle for any possible offenses.
