The 600 lbs. gorilla in the room when it comes to Greenland

Greenland is not NATO, yet.

Thats not true and the map is wrong in this point.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_relations_of_Greenland:
Unlike Denmark proper, Greenland is not part of the European Union (EU). The country's status was changed to an Overseas Country and Territory (OCT) associated with the EU, a dependent territory that has a special relationship with a member state of the EU. However, Greenland remains a part of the Council of Europe and NATO as part of Denmark.

If you close your eyes you can forget that: we’re $38T in debt and adding $1.8T this year, we have trillions in NGO fraud.

But Venezuela, Greenland, maybe Bibi ordered Trump to hit Iran again

Trumps great at negotiating with his creditors, maybe trade CA to China in exchange for $900B?
Gotta distract from these truths with blovation and 27 dimension chess.

I thought the gorilla was 800 pounds. Must be on Ozempic. 🤷‍♂️

But Trump is no different than President Harry Truman offering Denmark a $100 million in gold to buy Greenland.
Really? Did Truman threaten to take Greenland by military force? Did this happen when Truman was prez?

NATO nations deploy to Greenland after tense White House talks

Several NATO members are deploying small numbers of troops to Greenland for a joint military exercise, in the wake of tense talks with the White House about the U.S. desire to annex it.

Denmark, which is responsible for Greenland’s defense, Germany, France, Sweden, and Norway have all confirmed plans to send military personnel to the sparsely populated island this week.

Trump has renewed his sights on taking the island following an audacious military intervention in Venezuela to depose its president Nicolás Maduro on Jan. 3.

The troop deployment comes shortly after the foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland held talks with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House.

Speaking to reporters alongside Greenland’s Vivian Motzfeldt, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said there had been a “fundamental disagreement” with the U.S., but said the hour-long meeting was “frank but constructive.”

Greenland's existing agreement with the US is very generous to the US, we can do whatever we want there...except keep China or Russia out.
Maybe we need to modify that agreement to give the US more authority? Ownership without technical ownership.

Trump can declare Greenland as a US territory, and it becomes such, like the Gulf of America....poof.
What would those NATO troops do? Attack US bases? That would be very unwise.

Well I can declare Tahiti is my personal property now, and mean as much.
He should wear a Napoleonic hat when he does it.

LOL, If it makes Trump happy to think Greenland is a US territory, problem solved.

Keep in mind just because neither you nor Kaitlin Collins has been shown evidence of drugs on those boats doesn’t mean American Intelligence doesn’t have it.

I'm one that has relied upon "Show Me The Proof", practically all of My Life Mashmont.

And don't forget, over many, many years when there has been a Major Drug Bust carried out by the Feds/States,...... They were not shy about showing those Seized drugs on National TV.

And I do have a Question,..... How did the alleged Drug Running Boats from Venezuela, that were destroyed in Eastern Pacific Ocean waters get to the Eastern Pacific?

First European Troops Arrive In Greenland In Dark Of Night

In a move that will further inflame already rising tensions over Greenland, the first European troops have quietly begun arriving on the island following President Trump's repeated provocative declarations on the need for Washington to take control of the territory, according to Germany’s Bild.

The newspaper reports that a Danish military transport aircraft landed overnight in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, carrying Danish soldiers alongside members of the French armed forces.

Soon on the first plane's heels, another Danish Hercules aircraft touched down at Kangerlussuaq in western Greenland. Both planes reportedly flew with their transponders switched off - a detail unlikely to go unnoticed in an already tense Arctic standoff.

The initial German contingent of 13 soldiers arrived in Nuuk on Thursday morning. Additionally the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden are also set to participate in the deployment.

While all of these countries are NATO members, the operation is being coordinated directly from Copenhagen rather than through NATO channels, underscoring the political sensitivity of the move.

Here's how Bild describes it, according to machine translation:

Officially, it is NATO countries from Europe that are expanding their presence in Greenland. However, according to information obtained by BILD, the operation is being coordinated from Copenhagen – and NOT through NATO structures.

The reason: The Nordic states in NATO – including Greenland – are under the command of NATO headquarters in Norfolk, USA. The operation is intended to proceed without US involvement. In Germany, the Ministry of Defense and, in a leading role, the Federal Chancellery are involved.
The newspaper notes that the first troops were dispatched only after talks between Danish and Greenlandic officials and the United States collapsed Wednesday at the White House, despite agreements to establish a joint 'working group'.

Greenland remains an autonomous territory of Denmark, but the resource-rich island has long sat at the center of US strategic planning, and there are US Air Force and Space Forces bases and monitoring sites located there - some in very extreme climates.

One revealing line outside the White House Wednesday came from Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen who said it remains "clear that the president has this wish of conquering over Greenland" - but that dialogue has not been totally abandoned.

The unraveling of NATO? French President Macron vows further "land, air & sea assets" in the coming days.

Denmark calls. Europe answers.

European troops have arrived in Greenland.
Not to escalate tensions — but to defend sovereignty, deter intimidation, and send a clear political message.

That's "The Gulf of Mexico". which it was known as even before America became a Nation.

To call it anything different just because of what Trump's Delusions dictate, is joining in with his Lunacy, In My Belief.

Thank the gawds the Yanks have finally given up the freedom and democracy shtick everyone knew was bullshit and are comfortable freaking their fascism.

Trump has suffered a lot of scrutiny over his interest in Greenland. The continual screams that Trump is Hitler pervade the media and within the DNC as he pursues the fledgling and largely unpopulated land mass. But Trump is no different than President Harry Truman offering Denmark a $100 million in gold to buy Greenland. Simply put, Greenland is a strategic area for a variety of reasons. Those reasons are that they are right next door to the US, making it an ideal outpost for enemy combatants if any were to arise. In fact, there was a fear was that Nazis could use Greenland as a steppingstone to America. The Germans had already established small meteorological bases on the island’s east coast and relayed information for battles in Europe. American troops eventually ousted them and established more than a dozen bases there with thousands of troops, landing strips and other military facilities. And there is the natural resources of Greenland that either the US exploits, or other world powers will exploit, world powers that may be adversarial to the US.

Trump is no different than previous Presidents who bought Alaska from Russia, and imagine if that deal had not been negotiated, with Russia later becoming the number one adversary of the US globally. And imagine Russia exploiting all their natural resources, with very little care about the environmental consequences like the US dutifully does.

And it is the very same reason that Trump did what he did in Venezuela, stopping the Chinese from taking most of their oil. Trump is simply the modern-day example of the Monroe Doctrine in action, which is to secure land and resources from hostile powers within the US sphere of geopolitical influence. It is also why JFK imposed a barricade around Cuba as Russia planted nukes on the island as well.

Call it imperialism, call it Nazism, call it whatever you wish. But China does the same damn thing as they prop up North Korea, as they don't want the US sphere of influence anywhere near their country for strategic reasons. And it is the same reason Putin took the Ukraine.

But Europe should be the last to cry about Trump's interest in Greenland, because Europe has allowed the US over the years to spend trillions and trillions of dollars on their military to keep Europe safe and free from Communist Russia, while they themselves spend their money on social programs instead of the endeavor to defend themselves. This has led to massive debt in the US, debt that Europe could care less about as they continue to insist that the US protects them internationally from despots, just like they begged Obama to take out Gaddafi for them. Europe loves the "free" socialistic military blanket of protection but want nothing to do with the US concern over the natural resources to do so and their concerns that adversaries may be able to plant themselves within the North American continent that could very well be deleterious to US power and survivability, nor do they care about the economic burden of providing such a defense at the expense of the lavish social programs Europe enjoys.

Besides, Orange Man bad.

You don't have to agree with the said world view, but to pretend Trump is this off the wall insane dictator in the US for the first time in US history, as he espouses and seeks to continue policy in the US that was created long before he was even born, is infantile

It's time to grow the hell up!!

Your rhetoric is getting very old and still is unsuccessful in attempting to protect trump from criticism. To be sure , the more crazy he gets , the criticism will become defeaning.

We have agreements from WW2 to set up bases wherever we need in Greenland. We did save them along with Europe in WW2.
An international coalition that included the United States, United Kingdom, Soviet Union and China were the principal members that saved Europe from The Reich Wingers. Forget the John Wayne movies and read books.

I never claimed that Trump was a conservative, but what I do know is that he was almost assassinated twice. I do know that the corrupt American government attacked him with historic lawfare, the most in US history to a sitting President. I do know that he has helped expose the fraudulent nature of NGO's in general, something no other politician would dare do, and why they hate him and why 1/3 of democrats polled said they wished Trump had been assassinated.

So, you have to ask yourself, was it better electing Trump than dementia Joe or his side kick Kamala? I say things would have been much worse, especially since both are so damned clueless about pretty much everything, along with their corruption to try and hide the reasons for their incompetence, like Joe having obvious dementia.
Who can`t like a guy with 34 felony convictions? Trump would rather talk about stealing Venezuela and Greenland than talk about his visits to Epstein`s Pedo Island. Could you blame him?
