No, Trump wants his nominee to PRETEND like he is siding or as you say, sucking up TO the Democratic Senators....so that his nominee can get some of the Democratic Senators to vote for him, and Trump doesn't have to get the criticism that his nominees are so far out there and unqualified partisans, that he could not get a single Democratic Senator to vote for them....

Especially with the Supreme court Justice Nomination....Justices are SUPPOSE TO BE UNBIASED in every manner....and having a Justice put in that no one from the other party votes for them, makes it CLEAR AS DAY, that the Justice is probably not going to be... a truly just, justice.

And as I said, McConnell and all the other Senators DO NOT want to have to use the nuclear option...they believe Justices should be able to overcome the 60 votes, if they are truly qualified...R's WANT the 60 vote/cloture, to stop a Democratic nominee that they truly do not feel is qualified to be a Supreme Court Justice, WHICH IS A LIFETIME, YES LIFETIME, APPOINTMENT.

I understand the guy is a judge, but the problem for me is that this goes right to the central issue of exactly the problem with the judiciary, legislating from the bench. The leftist judges are abhorrent, and I want them called out for what they are.

Had he said there are a lot of good judges too and he wants to help improve the judiciary to what it could be or that nature of comment, that I would have been fine with. But to treat liberals legislating from the bench as his ally and defend them is pathetic and unacceptable. Yanno...................I think Care4all has figured it out, Trump told Gorsuch to go and say that he's concerned about Trump's treatment of the judicial branch so that he can get votes from the Democrat side of the aisle. Why do I say this? Because Trump has a way of tweeting about how bad something is if it isn't favorable to him within 24 hours, less if it's reported on the news, and Gorsuch said this yesterday, and still no tweets from Trump.
