The legislation won bipartisan support but 31 Republican senators voted against the measure, with Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) saying he supported helping Ukraine but arguing the process was rushed. Other Republicans voiced similar concerns.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has now been going on for more than two weeks with Ukrainian forces offering strong resistance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly called for more international assistance.

We need to have 10,000 irs agents too.

The same thing was done to the tax bill.

The statesman was a bit riled up in this one, predictably. Really wish he'd take a break and leave it to us, but few have the capacity to touch on so many different aspects of the issue in scope as he.

Anyway...

The Trump plan to bring troops home from Europe has undergone a "miraculous" turnaround, with the war in Ukraine being used as an excuse for a massive new influx of US soldiers to Germany and points eastward. Meanwhile, billions more are being spent to send weapons to Ukraine (where they are likely blown up, only to be replaced with more shipments). War is big business for the Beltway. If the bill passed, why is unanimity relevant at all? A lot of Americans have problems with 1-getting involved too deeply in wars abroad and/or 2- sending aid directly to a government as corrupt as Ukraine's. To try and enforce lockstep compliance with Brandon's dictates is similar to what President Putin is doing in Russia.

As far as IRS agents, right now, Sleepy Joe has them working to try and scam old people. They call nonagenarian women like my aunt and threaten them with prison if they don't pay a phony tax bill immediately with target gift cards. America really should be looking to furlough IRS agents instead of hiring more.

On one hand they want so much more aid to Ukraine, but deep down they don't want the money to go to Ukraine.

If we sent the 10000 new IRS agents on the front lines in Ukraine, that might be a good compromise.
I think people should pay their taxes. Thats why we have 5 billion dollars going to Israel who don't need it.

A lot of names on that list have earned some respect, where there was none previously…

People should indeed pay their taxes, and it should start first with Brandon himself.

According to his son, the "Big Guy" as he is called, has 10% of the graft kicked up to him. Yet it wasn't on his tax returns.

How does a fellow on a government salary for 50 years afford 3 mansions anyhow?

My Senator voted against it, as well as the $1.5 Trillion Omnibus Bill.
Get used to it ... Because we are sending him back to the Senate in November ...

He does as far as I know, Biden does and tramp doesn't.

They talk out of both sides of their head but in the end don't want to send more aid and weapons to Ukraine.
