do you see now why lying ruined your story? If you wanted to make some sort of case against cash assistance to the needy,
because by its very nature it allows for the purchase of other than necessities, then, sure, you could have done that, and that is a legitimately debatable issue.
However, by lying, by going that bridge too far by trying to wrongfully indict the food stamp program in a specious guilt-by-association fallacy,
you ended up redirecting most of the conversation into a debate over whether or not your story was true.
Face it, we all may be a bunch of dumbasses for being here in the first place, but enough of us are smart enough to make it foolhardy for anyone here to try to make a point based on a blatantly false premise.
