Distinction between my personal distaste for Trump and my support of Trump

They know he's a terrible human being, they know he says and does things every single day for which they would scold their children, they know he is essentially the opposite of the Jesus Christ most of them claim to follow, they know that the fundamental morality of what they're supporting is breaking up families, but they CHOOSE to ignore all that because of politics.

Because of their personal political worldview.

And there ya go. This has never been about him.

I agree. He is not someone I would like to "have a beer with," but he is the best "Republican" president in my lifetime (1949-present).

Another distinction that I find important is that I generally distance myself from what he SAYS, and focus on what he DOES, which is outstanding, for the most part.

My only hope is that he gets serious about the National Debt in his second term. If he does that, he will go down as the Best Ever President.

"peanuts"

Trump says national debt is ‘peanuts’ and his tariff income will pay everyone a $2,000 dividend too—but the math doesn’t add up

YOU come off as the pompous one, you jerkoff. I love Trump. He talks like a regular guy. Blue collar people and military people - like me - love Trump. What we don't like is snotty blowhards like you.
Ahh... :itsok:

It will pay off the annual deficit in 3 years. The math does add up
No offense, you sound as delusional as Trump.

Trump has said tariff revenue may allow Americans to stop paying income taxes. The math doesn’t add up

Never underestimate the ability of Congress to rapidly spend any new revenue instead of reducing either the deficit or the debt.

We have different president today

A president can only sign or veto congressional spending bills. Note that in the Schumer Shutdown, the president had little actual control over spending.
