WTF is telling anyone what they can and can't eat, much less "under the force of law"?
Wow. Like impermeable concrete.

They both are. Both give things of value to poor families
I think Toober is playing an extended April Fool's joke on us. He's stupid, but not THAT stupid.
Nothing wrong with getting WelfareMy daughter got SNAP when her deadbeat husband abandoned the family. At the time, she was employed by the federal government, but did not make enough money to feed her kids. You usually don't get "welfare" if you are working! You can get SNAP. She had WIC at one time. Do you want to talk about restrictions on purchases?
Nope. It stopped being your money once you turned it over to the government. You have NO SAY in how it is spent.Bullshit, it is OUR money,
You can't actually believe that. Tell me the last time you called your congressman to tell them you don't approve of or authorize a spending program, and they called it back because of YOUR lack of approval!and WE decide how it gets spent!
Play with semantics all you want but it is still THEIR money once they qualify for it and get it. They have in essence "earned" it by qualifying for the program. And the whole idiotic, communist idea of jerking them around denying them certain foods like a can of soda or a hot meal doesn't do jack. It makes no one healthier and it saves the public doles NOT ONE DIME. It is only there for show in order to snow over and placate people like you that government is working. It is nothing more than charity funnelled by government and certainly not "their money".
I said WE asshole. That is the nature of democracy in spending. You are entitled to anything you have not contributed to, and La Quisha having 7 welfare-dependant babies is not a contribution to society. any way you want to slice it.Nope. It stopped being your money once you turned it over to the government. You have NO SAY in how it is spent.

How will you limit this?I think if you are on welfare, you shouldn't be buying booze or tobacco. I've no issue with this, I'm saying, for the kids....let them have a little treat every now and then.
I see nothing wrong with letting the kids have little treat now and then. Look at it like this, the government gives tax breaks for all kinds of things. $7500 if you buy an EV...i see no issue them spending $2.00 every now and then for a candy bar...
Nothing wrong with getting Welfare
They are welcome to see a movie or own a cellphone. Why? Where do you get off telling someone they can't go see a movie or own a cellphone?
Are you a fascist?

It's about time we crack down on poor people drinking Dr. Pepper. Those fuckers!
They’re not allowed to buy alcohol with our money.Nope. It stopped being your money once you turned it over to the government. You have NO SAY in how it is spent.

They can have a $2.00 treat. Are you saying that unless WE pay for it, the mother can’t come up with $2? GMAFB.
Just don't claim some moral right to use my money to pay for them.
What I stated is a reality.Because when folks are either ignorant of how the world works, or just patently illogical?
. . . I find it entertaining TBH.
I’m not buying an electric car. Can’t afford them.Maybe she can, .maybe she cant...are you saying if the government can give you a $7500 tax credit to buy an electric car, they can't afford 2 bucks for a candy bar for a child every now and then?
Oh they are run horriblyIf there is anything wrong with welfare, it is that the programs are run so badly. Like a black hole, these programs pull people into dependency while letting few escape. Worse, for the truly needy who really need and depend on these services, the programs usually only help them enough to just keep them from dying, but never enough to actually get back on their feet living productive lives again.
Doesn't matter if I like it or not, you or I don't control food stamps.doesnt matter,, dont like them dont use other peoples money,,
in otherwords get a job and pay your own way in life,,
Maybe that’s what you are taught in the demklan plantationDoesn't matter if I like it or not, you or I don't control food stamps.
They’re not allowed to buy alcohol with our money.
Where in the Constitution does it say taxpayers have to provide free food for other people?Do you think that is constitutional?
The program qualifies them for X amount of assistance each month.
It is none of my business how they spend it. No matter what they buy with it, it is still their allotment and costs the same.
IMO, I could care less if they buy alcohol if that is how they feel is the best use of said money.
I know there are people on welfare who do not belong. I know there is waste and fraud in the program. I want the government to deal with THAT, instead of worrying about things which are none of their business.
Quit taking your anger at government out on those legitimately in the program instead.
