Anyway, many people on SNAP work, but they still are under the poverty line. The elderly on Social Security--SNAP recipients.
People on unemployment..SNAP recipients. Those on disability--temporary or permanent... SNAP recipients.

None of those people are receiving 'welfare'.

After my father died we had his social security for income. 6 kids and a frazzled Mom.
We did have medical..but only because it was California..a lot of states didn't play that.
We ate when we could and some times we didn't....and no, there is no nobility in poverty.

Children may be victims, until they grow up, then they have the means to change their lives, and it's on them if they don't. Most of the people you're talking about are drug users, and it's no one's fault but their own that they're druggies.

I disagree, there are a plethora of opportunities for those in lower income households to better themselves and change their trajectory, and many have. Others use it as an excuse, and as I said, drugs are most likely the number 1 issue that becomes an entire life altering choice, and not for the better. And it is a CHOICE.

I don't look down on anybody, I'm allowed to have an opinion, and just because it doesn't align with yours doesn't mean that I 'look down' on anyone.
