Enough with the Trump tariffs are destroying the economy threads

Businesses and markets care about money, not politics. They first thought Trump was going to be very business friendly, which is why the market did so well after the election.

Now the market doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing and they don’t seem to think Trump knows either.

They will get over the initial instability.

And the thing is if Trump really is wrong, you guys have midterms to deal with that.

You real fear is he is right, and in 6-12 months anything he does will be a net gain for the US.

hence your screaming and yelling right now.

Tariffs are taxes. No difference. And Trump already bargained with them last term and made a deal. If there are trade issues then he hasn’t addressed it as all he and his admin are talking about is the border.

Face it. Trump is power drunk and he is doing what he can to swing his dick around the world. It’s bully tactics 101

He's doing what he said he would do.

That's the problem, dipshit.
Is it actually a problem? That’s what I asked and that’s what you’re too scared to discuss.

Are American dairy farmers really desperately in need of exporting more product (because there is a quota before you ready the tariff) to the US?

Why didn’t Trump bring this up months ago?

And Japan attacked the US while FDR was President, dumbo. Hell, we even had a full-blown civil war while Lincoln was President. What the fuck did Trump have to do with the world's economy shutting down during the pandemic?

Gawd, you idiots are desperate. :laughing0301:
Well he instituted shelter in place and was literally the president of the USA during the pandemic when the world economy shut down. Buck stops there right?

One issue of many.

Why are you guys only worried about Canadian dairy farmers?

Canada has a scaling tariff schedule on US dairy that tops out at 250% or so.

A few percent?

Fact check: What Trump doesn’t mention about Canada’s dairy tariffs

President Donald Trump correctly noted Friday, as he has before, that Canada has tariffs above 200% on dairy products imported from the US. But Trump again failed to mention a critical fact.

Those high tariffs kick in only after the US has hit a certain Trump-negotiated quantity of tariff-free dairy sales to Canada each year – and as the US dairy industry acknowledges, the US is not hitting its allowed zero-tariff maximum in any category of dairy product.

In many categories, notably including milk, the US is not even at half of the zero-tariff maximum
.

Oh and this was not Biden as trump claimed...

The tariffs Trump was denouncing Friday were left in place by the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, which Trump negotiated, signed in 2018 and has since touted as “the best trade deal ever made.”

Trump is the personification of instability. My real fear is he has no fucking idea what he’s doing and has surrounded himself with pathetic sycophants who will keep telling him he’s a genius.

I’m worried about the American people who will suffer because of a recession he might cause.

But the dairy farmers might be okay in the long rung, so….

Everyone is selling though, that's why the price is dropping dufus.

When will you be buying in? when the price hits 10 cents? :auiqs.jpg:
It depends on the stock, buying low, selling high is the way to go, take advantage of some of these idiots knee jerk responses fueled by fearmongering and propanda

He said he was going to start a trade ware with Canada and Mexico? Can you show the quote?

It's only a Trade war if they don't come to the negotiating table in good faith.

Mexico is already doing that.

He's putting America First, that's what he ran on.

A 250% tariff imposed by Canada seems to imply they think Canadian dairy farmers are at risk.
If this were the issue, standard practice is reciprocal tariffs on the same or similar products after negotiations fail. Thats how trade disputes are typically handled under GATT.

it is the topic----you are lacking in the realm of abstract
thinking----no known cure

I addressed that when I called it a "Scaled" tariff. Try reading my stuff before posting.

Then the Canadians should be fine lowering the punishment tariff, or increasing the trigger point.
