It's what the Federal Government DOES whenever it's budget is threatened and Barry happily went along with it because he thought it would put pressure on the GOP. That strategy backfired on him because it was so obvious a ploy.

It's what the Federal Government DOES whenever it's budget is threatened and Barry happily went along with it because he thought it would put pressure on the GOP. Monuments are part of the National Parks System. The entire parks system was shut down as a nonessential government function. In addition to that two acre monument that was shut down, the entire Grand Canyon was shut down

Although WW2 and Viet Nam vets are not allowed to visit their memorials in the National Mall, illegal aliens will get free rein of the place, with the administration calling it a first Amendment right. The only problem with that as non citizens, they do not have the same rights as citizens. Non citizens can sometimes get rights in say a criminal prosecution but not in deportment proceedings, although they do get representation before a judge.

This is a slap in the face to every veteran or any US citizen for that matter, who have been locked out of the nation's treasures for which they are part owners. The illegals will build a stage have amplified equipment, access to TV cameras. This president is playing politics and it's only a matter of time before even his most ardent supporters see through his thinly veiled hatred of everything American.

Obama golfs at several of the golf courses on Andrews AFB. I have golfed there as well and they are government funded and could definitely be classified non-essential. They should have been shut down and would not have required extra government employees costing taxpayer money to enforce the shutdown, as was the case in park and Memorial shutdowns, since all of the entrances to Andrews are already manned by armed guards.

All of the golf courses on bases I have worked at are funded by Non-appropriated funds (NAF).

NAF means the money does not come from Congress.
