Which conservatives would those be? Considering American Conservatives believe in "All Men are created equal...." and the rest of that whole "Bill of Rights" thing.

The only party that has its entire focus on race is the democrat party....all of it's core groups, it's entire leadership is obsessed with the color of people's skin......perhaps if you are concerned with actual racism...you should better focus your efforts on the democrats.....

The only ones going after nuns, bakers, pizza makers, wedding photographers for religious views are the democrats.......

Look at all the butthurt CINOS. I say what I do for a reason. For the first 33 years of my life I saw honest debates(outside of the one on race) between liberals and conservatives on the role of government. That's not the debate now. And CINOS only argue about the size of government when it comes to programs that help people who have been negatively affected by piss poor government policies in the past or currently which favor one population group. CINOS talk about "entitlements" like it's only something others ask for. They talk about how terrible it is for others to get government handout while begging for them.

For example, the election of Trump was based on so called working class whites feeling they have been left out. These whites tell us to stop begging the government and today are begging the government to bring jobs to them. When we ask for that, government is too big and we should start our own businesses instead of asking the government.

Real conservatives will admit to areas of need and help fix the problem. I know this because I live in a republican state and have worked with liberals and conservatives on issues facing the black community. No true conservative has ever talked the shit talked in places like this. I saw top conservatives in my state support a liberal candidate for governor because they could not support the CINOS draconian cuts to education and essential state services.

Real conservatives are leaving the republican party because they oppose the extremist agenda and crookedness of Trump. So imo, conservatives must reject extremists that have hijacked the term. For there is nothing wrong with working to check government excesses, but that's not what CINOS are doing. And if you don't think so, look at Trumps spending. Don't try talking about what Obama spent because most of his spending came early and it saved us from going under. Trump doesn't face that and still he is crazy spending..

Well I will agree with you about this: there are a lot of white supremacist racists on this forum, a surprising amount. If you just go by this forum you would think that all conservatives are hiding racist tendencies. But then, if I went by this site I might think a lot of black people really hate and resent whites too, and I know that's not true.

As for enders: I don't think it's conservatism that has so worry about becoming "a joke". We currently have the presidency, the Senate, and the Supreme Court. Democrats have the House but by a tenuous thread--there's a vicious fight as you must know. Not only that, but you have a weak group of contenders for president here in 2020. So I really don't think conservatism is the "joke" here.

I will address only a small part of your post. You said conservatives have the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court was never intended to be a political part of the government any more than the police were intended to be political. The law is the law, and should apply to all equally, and any court rulings should be based on that law, and not which political candidate the justices might support. I fear Trump's appointees will not base their decisions to the law.

Well you need to get your fears back to reality. Kav has already ruled against the republicans on the SCOTUS.

I don't know what either side is for anymore, other than against whatever the other side wants. Conservatives used to be for fiscal restraint, but not now. Liberals used to be for the poor and middle-class citizens, but now they're for the illegal immigrants. Nobody seems to give a damn about the best interests of the country, it's all about getting re-elected and gaining or keeping political power for your party. The country is coming in at best 3rd place. Kavanaugh didn't rule against republicans. He ruled for the constitution, and that just happened to be opposite of what republicans wanted. I guess even a yes man like Kavanaugh can't give them everything they want.

Primarily rightwing fear – fear of change, fear of diversity, fear of inclusion, and fear of expressions of individual liberty.

It's the left that wants to squash individual liberty and freedom of expression. Look what's happening on YouTube, Facebook and Nike. It's the left that wants to shut down talk radio, remove crosses, shut down conservatve speakers from universities. The left wants to punish bakers who don't want to use their artistry to make a certain kind of wedding cake.

The left want only the things they agree with to be allowed. We conservatives love diversity, we will allow anyone into our conservative tent. You can be of any color, race, sexual orientation and you can even have some differing beliefs. We believe in the free expression and open discussion of differing ideas. It's the left that wants to shut that down and force you to believe what they believe and support what they believe or else.
