My heart goes out to 9-11 victims and their families but I have some issues as to why they were compensated handsomely by the government.Litterally 1000's of people a year in the U.S.A.get killed in natural disasters, acts of cruelty maybe being killed by illegal immigrants etc.Their families are just as devastated, just as financially in dire straits as the 9-11 victims but the government gives a squat care about them.If you ever notice when say for instance a tornado blows away a family and their house in an isolated incident where they were the only ones affected,no one including the government does much for them.If a whole town gets that same devastation, the sky is the limit for aid and help. The squeeky wheels in society do get the grease and whining, lobbying and belonging to a union does wonders for a person when they need favors done.I live in an area where if you are in the steelworkers union and get laid off,you are well taken care for years with full pay getting re-educated,compensated,free insurance etc.If you manage a Mc Donalds or Wal Mart and the place burns down the local government tells you there is an opening for half as much as you were making at the new dollar store and you start tomorrow,be there. There are pecking orders in this country and we aren't a land where everyone is treated equally.Everyone wants some form of affirmative action these days because they fall under special circumstances and it's a crock!
Here is my take on 9-11.We have extremely liberal immigration laws and an open border policy that is a joke because no politician including Bush wants to offend blocks of minority voters by making our country less accessable to anyone who wants to take advantage of us.We are the world's gravy train!O.K,so the airlines have dealt with the threat of terrorists among us because of these policies. So,the government says to the victims families,if you don't sue the airlines,we will buy you off.If the airlines went to court, they would have to tell the truth and say the immigration system we have in this country is a sham and the government does not want to be politically incorrect by saying not profiling Muslims was the whole problem as to why 9-11 happened.
What irks me though is when alot of the victims families who should also have had huge life insurance policies since many worked in brokerages etc.at the twin towers say that, how are we going to survive on just a couple million dollars that was given to us by the government and charity.Maybe it's time to uproot from NYC and move to Wyoming or Nebraska where parking a car doesn't cost $500 a month and a cup of late isn't $5 a cup.Sure, you might have to see the Not Quite Ready For Prime Time Players perform in places like Lincoln,Nebraska over Annie in New York but your 3 mill will last 4 lifetimes there.I heard one woman crying that her kids won't be able to go to Colgate now.Alot of western colleges are much more conservative and better than eastern liberal colleges and cost 1/8 as much in tuition. It was a dirty shame though that puke outfits like The United Way scewed the 9-11 victims families over by skimming the majority of donations off the top in bloated administrative expenses as most charities always do.
