Comey Turns Himself in this Morning

Trump is going to look foolish when these charges are dismissed, but never mind, he got his revenge on someone who made him look bad.
Just like Trump's charges were dismissed. Shazam!
Regarding Comey, it's always sweet when the bad guys get their own medicine.

Comey turns himself in today. Will he have to surrender his passport?

14 out of 23 jurors agreed that the evidence she presented, which may or may not have contained any exculpatory evidence, constituted probable cause.

The fact that it got past a grand jury is an exceedingly low bar, to the point that it’s basically meaningless.
Grand jury proceedings are kept secret. There is no way you can honorably know how the jury voted.

Not everything is kept secret. Yes, we know only 14 jurors agreed with the charges.

Well that could be true but I'll need a better source than the highly prejudicial, left leaning, TDS infused, and frequently blatantly dishonest Raw Story to be convinced.

You don’t really care anyway. It makes no difference to you.

Am I wrong?

It’s widely reported.

You are almost always wrong when you presume to tell me what I know, what I think, what I care about, what makes a difference to me.

Most especially when it comes to topics like this OP.

Well when more than half of the jurors agreed on the evidence against Comey, if that in fact is the case, that would be a really good thing especially in one of the bluest areas of the country.

Am I wrong in this instance? You didn’t say clearly if I’m right or wrong.

I don’t think there’s much that anyone can say to change your mind here.

WSJ is reporting that Trump’s tweet telling Bondi to indict Comey was supposed to be a private message. Does that matter to you?

No. Why would it?

I think I know you better than you’d like to admit.

It’s pretty easy when you’ll basically say anything to defend Trump.

Oh yeah and you are soooo flexible in your opinions. :)

For sure Trump did not fire Comey without cause. And there is nothing wrong with the President or anybody else wanting a criminal prosecuted. Not wanting to keep kicking a can down the road.

Does he want a “criminal” prosecuted or does he want his personal enemy prosecuted?

His behavior is pretty indefensible.

I rest my case. You say it is indefensible because it is Trump. Certainly the President can say a criminal should be prosecuted. To urge his DOJ/FBI to go after criminals instead of ignoring the criminality.

Comey will have his day in court. He may or may not be found guilty. The President nor Bondi nor anybody else can order a grand jury to do anything. But once the grand jury indicts, then it is not improper or indefensible for the government to prosecute.

LOL But you had no problem defending the fat **** in NY who literally ran for office on the promise of putting Trump in prison. You're a hoot Mare, a hoot.

Rational people would say prosecute the criminal.

I’d say it’s indefensible if it’s any president telling the DoJ to prosecute someone, especially when they already decided that the evidence is not likely to result in a conviction.

Are we to believe Trump is a natural arbiter in this instance? Someone who just looked at all the facts and decided objectively that this case should go forward?

The standards for prosecuting something isn’t “can you get it past a grand jury”. The standard is whether it’s likely to succeed in court. You can get a lot of things past a grand jury that don’t stand a chance in court.
