Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted a second time by Trump’s Justice Department, two sources familiar told CNN.

The specific charges were not immediately clear.

President Donald Trump has long pressed for his political adversaries to face charges, including the former FBI director whom he believed to be a key player in the alleged effort to “weaponize” justice system against him

Honestly, I think that is all Trump wants from this countrr-lawfare. As Doc Holliday said of Wyatt Earp, "He's not looking for revenge, but a reckoning."

Trump has barely scratched the surface if his goal is to lawfare the Dems as much as they lawfared him. But I'd bet that he would settle for an admission by top Democrats, even ones who claim personal innocence.

It would be an especially good move for Hakeem the Dream. By doing so, he could take control of the direction of the Party going into 2028.

Pam Bondi made sure that every traitor on America got off.

Will Blanch be any different?

Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted Tuesday over a photo of seashells officials said threatened President Donald Trump, marking the administration’s second attempt to prosecute one of his largest political opponents, three sources first told CNN.
LoL!

You changed the words on that quote.

Just like Kevin Clinesmith did to that CIA e mm ail about General Flynn!

Skip a trial and hang Comey on the nearest tree.

I love it. Keep leveling those charges. The Fed never runs out of money.

And I think with Bondi gone and this new guy Blanche in there that the lawsuits will be starting to come more and more very soon.

Yes, he is not letting the Dema' latest act of violence stay his hand.

Nope, that was a direct quote.

I caught him and Jeanine Pirro last night speaking about the WHCD shooter, and they sure did not fool around filing charges against that Cole Allen guy. They have already fired three felony charges and they say many more are still yet to come.

Of course, with the president at the banquet, one must assume he was the goal of the attack, and with a charge of attempted assassination of a president on him, the guy will never see the outside of a prison again. No possibility of parole.

I wonder if that is enough; seems to me that trying to kill a standing president should have the option of state execution if deemed appropriate.

Comey got off on a technicality before.

If this is really about the threat that he spelled out in seashells, then he is caught dead to rights.

Comunicating a threat via interstate commerce has a maximum sentence of 5 years.

If he expresses contrition, he'd likely get a suspended sentence.

A threat of a pic showing seashells? i imagine it will get poured out in preliminary hearings.
Might could.

Trump has two and a half more years and effectively unlimited funds to keep trying.

All of this drama over some sea shells placed in an 86 47?

This is what all this drama is over? I get what it means. That's hardly a credible threat. Especially from some old fart like Comey.

Sure he's a scum bag. But trying to punish him for this is about as thin as a sea shell.

This sea shell thing is all they can get on Comey? If that's the the case, then Blanche and Trump are just witch hunting.
Seriously, if that's the worst he's done (illegally), out of all the accusations, then it could very well boil down to a "get anyone who's not been loyal" to Trumpy.

The Trump cancel culture is bad about that. And this sort of thing just makes this administration look petty. Just like their reasoning for going to war with Iran.
Ego driven.

Has it risen to the level of the drama created by a clerk calling money paid to a lawyer "legal fees?"

You miss the point, as do many others, in my opinion.

Trump must go after the people who went after him, so that the Democrats think twice about a) going after him again, when he finishes his second term, and b) going after the next Republican leader, thinking 'what's the downside?'

Trump is showing them the downside.

As I said/implied in my OP, the lawfare ball is all Trump's now, but the peace ball is in the Dems court. They need to request a detente. They will need to be hat in hand and at least feign remorse over what they did to him.

I'm sure Trump would rather those prosecutors and judges be detailed to help deport violent illegals, but the counter-lawfare is for the good of the country. If Dems think they can do what they did to Trump to every Republican, we can kiss democracy goodbye.
