Donald J. Trump has this Unhealthy Obsession With James Comey. It's creepy and troubling. Troubling that a President of the United States would spend so much, thought, time, and energy (they're supposed to be seriously busy) on going after a man like Comey, just in order to get some sort of twisted revenge.

James Comey.webp

“Donald Trump has a bottomless desire to gain revenge against those who criticized him,” Comey said.

He said his family had gotten use to the consequences of his Trump criticism, with his daughter being fired as a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York and his son-in-law resigning as a prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia.

“There’s a cost to speaking up in this strange era, awful era we’re in now,” Comey said. “I’m not gonna be quiet; I’m going to continue to speak about what I believe.”

Comey said there is a risk that the country will become “numb” to what critics have called the weaponization of the Justice Department. He said even he was susceptible. “Even I can feel it, ‘Oh, the second time, whatever,’” Comey said about the latest indictment. “This is not normal. This is not who we are.”

Comey’s legal team said they plan to move to dismiss the seashell case, calling it a product of selective and vindictive prosecution, like they did after last year’s indictment.

Sure it's not Comey's and your obsession with Trump. You're not the only one with stage 4 TDS you know.

Play on a Satre quote:

While acknowledging that the Haters of MAGA may have good characteristics—a loving husband, a generous and conscientious citizen— their hatred ultimately defines them.

“A man who finds it entirely natural to denounce other men cannot have our conception of humanity...He does not see even those whom he aids in the same light as we do.”

WTF are you talking about? Satre died in 1980. He never suffered from TDS as you do, obviously.

Most ironic quote in the history of the planet danny

Right?? The irony of the thread, when had Comey just lived his life and not threatened Trump he wouldn’t be in the mess

Dante has posted several (and I do mean several) threads regarding Trump. As in lots.

And he uses the term "unhealthy obsession" in this one to describe Trump.

You can't make this stuff up.

So let's look this one over.
Donald J. Trump has this Unhealthy Obsession With James Comey.

Dante claims he has an obsession with Comey. How is that defined and discovered? When is something officially an obsession?

Next, he calls it unhealthy. I am guessing this akin to a titration? Maybe an ampmeter? Or possible a pressure gauges. Something that measures a value that can then be applied to a continuum where it lands at unhealthy.

Let's see what Dante has to say.

It's creepy and troubling.
To who? Who is Dante speaking for?

Troubling that a President of the United States would spend so much, thought, time, and energy (they're supposed to be seriously busy) on going after a man like Comey, just in order to get some sort of twisted revenge.
Do we know how much time? Do we have a log that gives us a total? Do we have a clock that measures it?

Do we have a standard that says it's healthy.....moderatly healthy....borderline healthy....borderline unhealthy....etc as determined by those hours or minutes or whatever is being used?

Can Dante supply that?

O.K.

I get what he is saying....I mean I understand it.

But, let's look at what is being said......

His daughter is fired......did she do something wrong? This was pretty typical from what I read at the time:

Federal prosecutor Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, was fired by the Justice Department on Wednesday, according to four sources familiar with the matter.

It was not clear why. One of the sources said the Justice Department cited Article II of the Constitution, which establishes the executive power of the president.

Nick Biase, a spokesperson for the Southern District of New York, declined to comment.

It was also stated somewhere that:

CNN later reported that an official described her connection to her father, James Comey, as untenable; according to ABC News, president Donald Trump was reportedly furious that a relative of the elder Comey worked in his administration.

So, I don't see anything that says she did anything wrong.

Might be a good piece of information to include in today's world if you are going to make those accusations.

That might constitute unhealthy. Unless it's common practice (which I don't know if that is the case or not).

It might also just mean that Trumps underlings don't want to deal with it.

She did file a lawsuite and from I can tell....she'll likely win.

Now...Comey's son-in-law resigned.

That isn't the same thing. Why ? Don't know.

Comey is using this to describe what he calls weaponization. Does he think one thing makes the entire case. Is this why Dante is calling it "unhealthy". A single instance? His indictments are for him to deal with. He should, however, sue to get his money back if he gets it thrown out of court. And if it is thrown out, I think you might have the start of a argument.....not a completed argument....for obsession. But then again, who brought the charges. Do we know Trump told them to do that? Is there someone else that could be after Comey? Lot's of question to answer to make a good case.

Right?

I look forward to the "data" that shows us how this is unhealthy and how it rates on the continuum I described.

Comey did not threaten Trump.

Case will be thrown out .. again, like Trump's other lawfare targeting Comey

Of course he did, and posted it on the internet

He might have a valid defense or be able to convince a jury of something

We shall see
