I’m surprised at the number large companies who have stopped doing business with Russia. The Link below list over 50 large companies that have refused to do business with Russia but that list is not complete as it does not contain a numbers of large European companies, and smaller companies scattered around the world.

How much effect will it have? Don’t know, but one thing is for sure Russians who are backing Putin in his “Operation to make the nation more secure” are going to notice a change such as their Mastercards, Visas, American Express cards are not going to be working consistently or not at all, the drink machine at work will no longer have Cokes, Pepsi, and a dozen other soft drinks and no Starbucks coffee, no Big Macs, no Taco Bell, no KFC, no Papa Johns, no BP and Exon/Mobil gas stations, no GM truck or car parts or sales, no Harley Davidsons parts or sales ,no Damiler and Volvo Trucks, no Apple Computers, no Netflix, no Tic Toc, no new releases of Warner Bros or Disney movies, No Netflix, no Malboro or Philip Morris, no 3M proucts, etc………

Since there are tens of thousands of Russians working in these businesses, the layoffs will not be be insignificant.

Maybe this is exactly what Putin wants, a 2020 version of the Iron Curtain where the West is no longer welcome in Russia, a return to cold war politics where Russia was force to be reckoned with. Putin hates democracy and there are many in Russia that share his belief. I don't believe Putin is the least bit concerned by loss of personal wealth nor the price Russians will have to pay in the "New Russia".
