Birthright Citizenship? Yes/No

It means American citizens
Illegal aliens are not American citizens
They wouldn't have started the amendment with "All Persons born..." but would have started with Only persons born of Citizens...." if that is what they meant for posterity.

Your post is incorrect. The phrase "under the jurisdiction of" is well defined. There can be no "reinterpretation" of a well-known legal term. The SCOTUS will simply not rule the way you are fantasizing it will.

If what you claim is true, why haven't lower courts previously overturned that interpretation? Because they cannot!

You're right, lower courts are bound by precedent, SCOTUS isn't.

.

And SCOTUS could change/revise that ruling/interpretation.
No other nation I know of has such a confusing and convoluted method for non-citizens to birth citizens.

NO.... And most nations with birthright citizenship do not automatically grant your parents the right to remain here with you... so its meaningless... Only the USA says sure and your entire family can stay too...
That is a bald-faced lie and you have been schooled on that topic many times. Stop being an ass!

The text isn't as plain as you interpret.
Written and ratified @ 157 years ago, word usage and intended context then was a bit different than now.
This is why the more correct interpretation does not validate the concept of "anchor baby" or birth right to citizenship of those born to foreign nationals not already citizens here.
The Amendment was meant to thwart the dis-enfranchising of former slaves from the former Confederacy states.
The term "under the jurisdiction of" has a definite meaning that is NOT your current interpretation. If you explore the concept of diplomatic immunity, you will understand it better.

There has been no ruling! Where do you think they have addressed this at SCOTUS level? Do you have a link to the case they would be overturning?

Calm down old man... nations with birthright citizenship do not let the parents stay no matter what... if they have felonies on their record they don't get to stay just because they gave birth in the nation...
Man you are an angry cuss....

You posted that, didn't you? Well, you are wrong. You have been educated on this topic numerous times.

I am angry yes, because I don't like stupidity and you are giving out a truckload!

What you are is an idiot... you have no reason to get this mad... maybe you should take a break from USMB... if you can't correct someone without cursing them out you have a severe emotional problem...
