I agree as a result of the tax hikes and policies that slowed the economy after the dems 1993 Omibus Bill we got a balanced budget and return to the Reagan policies that allows the economy to turn around…but what it did was get the people to boot the dems from Congress, which lead to a GOP Congress, and Clinton admitting he was wrong, and he began working some with the GoP.

A balanced budget was not achieved until 1998. 1996 and 1997 saw massive reductions in yearly budget. 1998 saw the first surpluss.
All thanks to the GOP Congress, as Clinton shut down the government refusing to sign it for so long. He eventually caved and signed it with gnashing teeth.

Clinton never cut spending....not until the GOP took over Congress....and Clinton raised taxes on not just the wealthy....but middle class Americans...working Americans...people filing with incomes $250K or greater., raised the taxes on payroll taxes as well...and on gasoline.....and he even addmitted it was way to high...only to have them cut when the GOP took Congress....and then and only then did we start to have a boom...the Dems slowed down the economy with their policies.

Clinton and the dems passed the passed budget act, they balanced the budget and nobody else. Every republican opposed this bill.
