Massie Lost because of What he Voted Against

Let's start with the Big Beautiful Bill that Massie voted against at every single opportunity:

First the major tax cuts and reforms that Massie opposed:

Massie voted with the Democrats for what would have been the biggest tax increase in our history.

He voted to continue to tax the tips of hard working waiter, waitresses, poker dealers, and other who eek out a living by depending on gratuities.

He voted to force people making under $500K per year to be double taxed on money they already paid state and local taxes on.

He voted against tax deductions and tax credits for seniors who are often on fixed incomes and for low-income families struggling to raise children.

In short, he voted to tax those least able to afford it to pay for his Democratic buddies' latest spending spree.

Why would anyone be surprised that Republican voters rejected this enabler of Massie-ive government spending?
Massey knew that sticking to his libertarian principles would exact a high price in the party that has surrendered to petty, vindictive Trumpery.

27% of registered voters in Quinnipiac’s early June poll supported the legislation, while 53% were opposed. The Kaiser Family Foundation poll found 35% of adults in favor in early June and 64% opposed. The latest mid-June Fox News poll of registered voters pegged the results at 38% support to 59% opposition. Additionally, far more voters in the Fox poll said that the bill would hurt their families more (49%) than help them (23%). Less than half (49%) of Republicans say the bill would help!
