How about we stick with the norm for the past 4 years. Peaceful protest.

Protests at the capital building and in front of the white house have mostly been within limits til now. Other places times at several places around the country have not. They were not as upsetting as insurrectionist sent to the capital by the president to make their voices heard. This was in broad daylight. That is a change for protesters, by in large over the last year. They usually are peaceful in the day time and start the violence undercover of darkness. The lack of preparedness this time was appalling. But the same could be said for the inner city protests that saw buildings burned and property destroyed over several blocks. Mayors and governor were reluctant to call for and use National Guard troops to maintain order or put down the violence. Same story here, but possibly for a different reason, and that reason bothers me, when it comes to attacks on the seat of Government.
