Top-notch attorneys would not be reviewing this case if the evidence were as solid as you guys have claimed.

High-Profile Legal Team Takes on Karmelo Anthony’s Appeal in Austin Metcalf Death Case

A newly assembled team of prominent appellate, civil rights, and criminal defense attorneys has announced it will represent Karmelo Anthony in post-conviction proceedings following his recent sentencing in the death of Austin Metcalf.

The development was first reported by Revolt News, which published details of the legal team and supporting materials on June 22. According to a statement released by the attorneys, the group will serve on a pro bono basis and conduct an independent review of the trial record while pursuing all available avenues of appeal.

Anthony was recently sentenced to 35 years in prison after being convicted in the fatal stabbing of Metcalf, a case that drew national attention and sparked intense public debate across Texas and beyond.

The legal team includes Russell Wilson of The Law Office of Russell Wilson II, a board-certified criminal law attorney who previously directed the Dallas County District Attorney’s Conviction Integrity Unit. Gary Bledsoe of The Bledsoe Law Firm and president of the Texas NAACP, Michael L. Ware of the Law Office of Michael Ware, civil rights attorney Brooke Cluse of Ben Crump Law, Dallas trial attorney Sean Daredia of Daredia Law Firm, and and Dallas-based attorney Justin A. Moore of Stafford Moore, PLLC.

According to biographical information released alongside the announcement, several members of the legal team have decades of experience handling criminal appeals, post-conviction matters, civil rights litigation, and high-profile criminal defense cases.

In a joint statement, the attorneys said they were retained following Anthony’s conviction to conduct what they described as a “fresh, independent review” of the proceedings.

And this "high profile" legal team will get themselves beat just as badly as the "low profile" legal team.

There is no evidence to support anything but the actual verdict.

Race hustlers got to hustle.

Actually, there is evidence that the Metcalfs and 4 others confronted Anthony, and Austin Metcalf got physical. There is evidence that th Metcalf brothers did not have the authority to remove anyone from any facility.

So removing someone who isn't supposed to be there justified killing?

Still waiting for you to post the video of Arbery getting hit by the truck.

The team may have changed, but the facts of the case havent. There is no dituation where you can kill someone over a simple push.

All throughout highschool and elementary school, i was pushed by kids, and i pushed kids myself. No one ever thought to pull out a knife. That isnt a thing.

Oh yeah right. Why would lawyers want to get themselves national visibility in a Black/White murder case? LOL

Following the lunch recess, prosecutors called a 17-year-old Memorial High School student who witnessed the confrontation between Anthony and Metcalf. The witness testified that students repeatedly asked Anthony to leave the Memorial team tent before the encounter escalated, according to FOX 4 and Fox News courtroom reporting.

The student, a teammate of Austin and Hunter Metcalf, told jurors that several students told Anthony he "probably shouldn't be here" and needed to leave. Anthony was asked to leave the tent about 15 times, the witness testified, according to WFAA.

He testified that Anthony responded by telling Metcalf, "Touch me and find out."

The witness said there was no effort by students to "gang up" on Anthony and described the physical contact leading up to the stabbing as "minor pushing at most." When asked by prosecutors who was provoking the confrontation, the student replied, "Karmelo Anthony."

There is no evidence that the Metcalf brothers were the aggressors. NONE. And there is a whole lot of testimony that Anthony was the aggressor. You cannot be the aggressor and then claim self defense.

This is all about race to you because you are a racist. Black people are always right, always the victim, always without guilt for their actions. And that's not love, that's racism.

This is all about race because it's all about race. You're going to find out that testimonies were contradictory, and some changed. It was said that Anthonny was visiting a friend. There appears to be evidence that the Metcalfs were indeed the aggressors, and they had 4 others with them. The video shows th Metcalf an others walking to the tent. You racists always believe the white person is the victim.

THE METCALFS DID NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ASK ANTHONY TO LEAVE OR TO REMOVE ANTHONY FROM THE TENT!

The boy went out looking for trouble, stabbed and killed an innocent boy. He deserves the death penalty.

That's not how it happened, racist. In fact, the people who were looking for trouble were the Metcalfs. Anthony wa a participant in the meet. He had just run the 100, and was participating in the long jump. It's not clear if the Metcalfs were participants.

Your big bold letters are meaningless. It doesn't matter one inkling if they had the authority.

Anthony was clearly the aggressor, as every witness testified to, from both the defense and the prosecution.

End of story.

None of your business.
There are many people who work hard to get all groups of people to live with each other. And people like you which there are many, live to cause chaos and destruction between groups. Money and power overrule any peace between men.

I know you won't bother reading this, because you're dead set on wanting to see this killer, because he's black, get away with murder, but here's an eyewitness account to what happened:

“He just came outta nowhere, with no friends, outta the blue,” one teenage eyewitness from Memorial High School testified about Anthony’s appearance at their school’s tent. “Nobody prompted him to come to the tent.”

All the eyewitnesses agreed that several minutes after Anthony arrived at the school’s tent, he was asked to leave. “We didn’t stand up and gang up on him,” said one witness. “I said, ‘Hey, you’re in our tent. You don’t need to be here.'” Anthony was allegedly asked to leave more than 10 times. “It wasn’t just Austin,” a teenager testified. “People, including myself, were saying for him to leave. I thought it’d get to minor pushing at most. I wasn’t worried about it.”

One witness claimed Metcalf told Anthony, “I’m not gonna fight you at a track meet, dude.” While another witness claimed that Anthony was provoking Metcalf and asking him to fight. One teenager said that Anthony began cursing at the group, saying, “F— y’all. I’m not gonna leave. Y’all are a bunch of p—s, y’all aren’t gonna do nothing about it.”

Curious how it’s being paid since the parents squandered their original proceeds on frivolous items .. 🤣
