In all honesty, I give them credit for that. I take their threat seriously and it would not surprise me if they stayed true to that promise! If nothing else, the Dems have demonstrated both the proclivity and willingness to turn us into a banana republic overnight in order to destroy its political enemies! Perhaps more important that the GOP was impotent at stopping them.

I put that in contrast to the GOP who ten years ago told us that all they needed was xyz and they would rock the world, then did nothing after being given it, likewise as in 2021 when Biden took office and they had a million reasons more to impeach the guy but instead, Comer held a lot of investigations and did a lot of TV interviews and absolutely zilch came of any of it. Joe Biden basically ran out of gas and crashed into the forest all of his own accord.

The democrats proved themselves masters of building a mountain out of nothing, while the GOP proved themselves incapable of putting even a mountain of gold on a bet to turn a one dollar profit. Just as how they recently let Anthony Fauci just slip through their fingers. No balls. No spine. No action. No change. The GOP is the party of doing nothing, and that is what scares the Old Guard the most, because Trump keeps doing things! Not that they are bad or good, just that now they gotta deal with them and do something.

I would not underestimate Trump's 2nd term as having coincided with the democrats being historically bad and weak. I just hope a little of Trump's fire is rubbing off on those close to him like Vance and Rubio, Hegseth and others, to carry this forward after Trump is gone someday.

In order for Democrats to gain the House majority they have to win EVERY RACE that Trump last won by over 9 points.
