These yahoos forget - or never realized - that Trump's tariff increases only affect certain imported goods, and imported goods only make up about 11.3% of our economy, and the projected $100B increase in tariffs over a $29.8T economy is... negligible.

These yahoos forget - or never realized - that Trump's tariff increases only affect certain imported goods, and imported goods only make up about 11.3% of our economy, and the projected $100B increase in tariffs over a $29.8T economy is... negligible.

Raising the cost of imports through tariffs does affect domestic prices, through combination of reducing supply and allowing prices of domestic goods to rise while still be competitive with the raised cost of imports.
