Socialism in Norway, Sweden and Finland seem not to suffer from the same problem... It could be that South American countries usually suffer badly because of the mere fact their leaders never practice what they preach and starve the population and are more like Communist North Korea and less like Socialist Countries like Finland...

I do not support the concept of Socialism but I do know many countries from Canada to Finland seem to never suffer the same effects for some reason...

Answer: No...

The reason why the United States can help smaller nations like Haiti is because it is easier to control the government on that small Island nation versus working with the Venezuela Government that is still being influenced by old Castro supporters and Cold War politicians left over from the former USSR days.

During Hugo Chavez reign he wanted to model Venezuela more into a larger version of Cuba and it became a failed state after his death.

So donating money to a country like Venezuela would be a wonderful idea until you realize the country government is as corrupt as the Marco's regime when he controlled the Philippines, and only the rich would be given the aide while the poor suffer...

They are the ones that voted for a certain few to have power of everything. What do they think will happen?
People complain about human greed, then want to give more power to an already corrupt govt? Come on..
