Socialism is when the government owns and runs labor and capital. When the government sub-contracts private companies and capital? That economic system is known as Dirigisme, or Corporatism/crony capitalism.
It is no different than what is practiced in fascist Italy and Germany. It is also what the CCP does now to a large extent.
Just b/c FDR was an American, doesn't mean he weren't no fascist.
Mussolini modeled is economy off of FDR, and they continually kept in contact till it was no longer politically appropriate. American companies were hugely invested in Nazi Germany.
How can you be so utterly ignorant to confuse the two systems?
Any government program funded by tax revenue is an example of socialism. When you look at the actual definition of socialism, have you ever wondered what “community ownership” is?
So the government stealing from you, to give to government bureaucrats to run government programs is "community ownership?"
Not credit unions, not electric co-ops, not food co-ops, not farming co-ops, or medical/health care co-ops, or living co-ops, but the government stealing from us is. . . "community ownership?"
Republicans have deluded themselves for years thinking democrats are like they used to be. Loyal Americans who have the same goals just different ideas of how to get there. If Trump does anything, his value will be gold if he can just convince republicans that this is a real conflict with the survival of the Republic at stake. Democrats are the enemy, like Nazis were, like communists are.
Tim Walz defends his far left stances by saying one persons Socialism is another persons neighborliness !
the most far left VP pick in US history on the most leftwing ticket for POTUS in US history defends his leftwing values by claiming socialism is another persons neighborliness ! America can not withstand an admin so far to the left .. even if they are neighborly socialists !
I don’t even think you understand this meme. More importantly, socialism is a very brood term. It doesn’t have to be the antithesis of capitalism. So yes, Nordic systems ARE socialists because of the strong welfare systems. In fact, any socialist system I advocate for does have a private market economy. It’s basic nuance like this that really escapes you people.
