you are mixing things

the majority of Christians follow the Nicene Creed
Most of the creed is easy to "follow". The exception being the trinity. The is no biblical justification for it.

You mean other than Jesus claiming equality with God? And Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to his disciples?

If the church is "apostolic" why didn't the apostles recognize the personhood of the Holy Spirit?

Ya'll can run from this but ya cain't hide. ;)

You told me you were not interested in explaining it.

Not quite. I told you I have no desire to justify my beliefs to you. Which means I'm not going to argue with you about it or try to convince you of it.

Sounds like you'd like to make this personal.

After the resurrection the apostles worshiped Jesus as God. That is a historical fact that was noted by non-Christian historians. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to his disciples. That is the basis of the Trinity. Unless of course you don't believe in the Holy Spirit.

But the most important thing I can share with anyone on this subject. Is that the Trinity is not a mystery to be solved. The Trinity is a relationship to be entered into. I have a relationship with all three but it is the Holy Spirit which guides me.

The Holy Spirit guides me as well, but "it" is not a person, it's a spirit.

None of them are persons so to speak. There really aren't any words that properly describe their nature. The best I can say is the mutual love between the Father and the Son is the person of the Holy Spirit.

The hard evidence is that the apostles didn't recognize the Holy Spirit as a person. That along with other evidence is good enough for me.

It's not a big deal except that there are those who use it as a litmus test for salvation.
